A Healer's view of dungeon latency::

Yep. LC as SCH last night. Mash the buttons for aoe heals and just hope people are actually nearby. Usually though, it's healhealheal -rubberband catches up - everyone dead already.

So merge this with players tendency to rush ahead and grab everything without buffs. >_<

I understand how OP feels. I cast swiftcast and it gets eaten by lag. Instant gibbing me from summoning Eos or Selene. Those hookers - I leveled THM dammit!

I 90Ked from CT 7 times the other night. I checked my connection and it was at 30mb....

Since 2.2, I've been getting disconnected constantly (dungeons, trials, open world, during cutscenes, etc) and the lag is atrocious. People teleporting, monsters teleporting, dying as a tank because the healer says they can't tell that you're life is so low. I had one ask.. "How did you die so fast"? Well, on my screen, it was a progression. To them, I went from 6.5k HP to 1K in a second.

Happened to me in Haukke Manor. Must have cast Medica II like 3 times, then it eventually kicked in, when everyone was on like 20-30% health. Very annoying. Also wiped countless times in Amdapor due to lag. Couldn't open the doors for ages.

i thought of doing roulette today before going to work, nope.avi says the lag. And now it's not limited to dungeons anymore, also it's not hard to see a dozen of red icons when i was running around in Limsa.

It expired before it showed up, or it just never hit. Which doesn't matter. Your tank is gonna die, and you don't even know it.

Cast Cure II cause nothing else is working .... nope ... health bar didn't move..... Oh wait .... it went down more.

This was totally me last night (and the last few days, as a matter of fact). I am almost always a healer, I can't even heal the Titan Easy Mode last night because nothing hits! I am so glad the tank and the DPS understand that it wasn't me. They also got landslide like no tomorrow. Just gotta laugh it out... T_T

Most kidding aside, it seems everyone has gotten a ninja trait from Edge and they all sneak around. Tried two pulls last night on a dungeon, standard way of pulling as PLD, shield lob, flash, next pull, same, wait one second, CoS. Flash, flash, flash. .....

Uhm....why do I only have aggro on one mob, healer has all others except for melee who has one. Oh brother....

Healing for me was more of:

Cast spe .. interrupted
Cast s .. interrupted
Cast spel .. interrupted.

Cast spell ... yaye!
Lag spike, tank dead.

i promise they are just trying to figure out a way to patch this without completely undoing the data center updates they implemented with 2.2. The reality is since we haven't heard anything yet, we are probably in for a 12hr emergency maintenance soon.
