Giving Commendations While pre-Teamed

I thought this was supposed to change with 2.2 but after last night I noticed no change.
If you are previously teamed and Duty Finder fills out the rest of your team:
For Example, you are in a two-player team and two others join via Duty Finder for a dungeon.
Then you should be able to give either of the players outside of your team a commendation.
I just recently did Dzemael Darkhold with two very good players, a monk and a White Mage. I was a Warrior teamed with a Summoner prior to entering the dungeon. Both the other players did quite well in their roles and as great personalities. I did not get the option to commend them though. It makes me feel like a parasite.

If they were also teamed up you shouldn't be able to give them commendations; which is probably the case in your instance.

That would be correct. If you come into an instance solo, it doesn't matter if there's a group also in there, you have the ability to commend.

We were in a two-person team. Went to Dzemael Darkhold. Two other people joined via Duty Finder. Had lots of fun. Upon completion was never given chance to commend the other players though we recieved one from them. We where told with patch 2.2 team or not we are suppose to be able to commend other players

I would also like to be able to do this. My roommate and I often team up with 2 random. I can see why they wouldn't let us commend each other but why can't we commend others? Meanwhile we are racking em up being a tank/healer duo.

Nope. 2.3.

Currently when players form a pre-made party of less than 4 players and jump into the Duty Finder to fill up the remaining slot, those in the pre-made party are unable to give commendations to the player who joined via Duty Finder, even if they've done a great job! While the restriction against vote commendations for pre-made players will remain, the team is looking to allow everyone to vote on those who joined via Duty Finder in around the release of patch 2.3.

So always be sure to thank your new comrades in arms for a job well done!
