Even better it should just unequip one piece to the main inventory to free up the slot.Even MORE annoying is that it doesn't say WHICH part of the armoryso you can spent considerable amount of time by juggling items between armory, inventory and even retainers sometimes to be able to perform simple class / job swap. It should alway explicitly note which part(s) of armory is full.
Yeah - the same way like when you obtain (or retreive from retainer) any gear item - it will first try to place it in Armory, if that's full in inventory and even if tha's full too then you'll get the notification. Maybe they were trying to avoid the situations where you swap to one gear set and then you'll be unable to swap back if some of your gear will end up in inventory and you might have not noticed but that could be easilly fixed by pop-up and log entry. It's REALLY annoying when you need to quickly change class to join duty and suddently you can't as you've just moment ago received a gear item as reward from some quest or leve you were doing on another class / job while wating fo the DF ...
