Hello everyone!

You have voiced your desire for more details regarding the toilets we will be adding, and I have heard you! So, here is what I am allowed to share with you so far.

• Toilets will be scattered in various locations around Eorzea
• A new Disciple of the Hand class will be added. For now we are calling it "Plumber" (might change in the final build).
• Plumber will function as sort of a cross between Disciple of the Land and Hand, in that you will gather things from the toilets, and then craft them into new and exciting items!
• The chances of gathering an HQ item will depend on your "plumber's crack" level.

This is all I am allowed to share for now, but there will be more soon!

Hello again, to all of you FFXIVers! I hope you've been enjoying the release of patch 2.2 as much as we've enjoyed working on it for you.

I hope you've had a chance to take a look at our new "Favours System", which should bring a depth to the story like no other MMORPG has seen! I know many of our female players have asked, "How can I get Thancred to notice me?" and "I wonder if Raubahn has a softer, gentler side." Good news! Our next developer's blog entry, coming in a few days, will have many more details. Please look forward to it!

Judging by the fantastic response we've had for the method of acquiring Atmas, we've decided to make a few changes I'm sure you'll find exciting:

• All drops and quests for the upcoming "Favours system" will involve random drops from FATEs and dungeons.
• Allagan Tomes of Mythology and Soldiery will also become random drops from the end boss of dungeons. We're still tuning the drop rate now, so please bear with us.
• In the upcoming patch 2.21, we plan to decrease the drop rates of Atmas from FATEs around the world. In addition, we will be tracking all of the time you spend participating in FATEs to ensure that you've spent at least 8 hours in FATE participation before awarding a new Atma.

Players have expressed excitement that they can spend so much time adventuring together in FATEs, so we're excited to bring these changes to you as soon as possible! I've just come from Hiroshi Minagawa's office, and he's assured me that we will have an in-game timer to display the time to the next Atma award available in time for expansion 3.0. Please look forward to it!

After 2.3 we are going to increase the price of a subscription to US$20/month for basic accounts & $25/month for Standard accounts. We no longer make any expansions.

We will improve servers so that server capacity & performance will never be an issue. We will hire additional developers so we can do 0.1 updates every month.

You will have get up to 10 Retainers via in game means. World Transfers will be free. Fantasias will be buyable in game with Grand Company Seals. The number of characters you can have per account will go up to 10 for Basic accounts & 50 for Standard accounts. We will add Veternan Rewards for every 30 days.

We will add a classe or job every 2 months & a race every 4 months. Every patch will have 2 Coil Turns, 1 Cystal Tower floor, 1 Hard Mode dungeon, 1 new dungeon, & either a Hard Mode or Extreme Mode Primal.

We are sure you will be okay with the new pricing given how much new content we will release.

As you may recall, the Rank 6 Veteran Rewards originally included two items, the Wind-up Odin minion and fifty Aetheryte Tickets, and the Rank 7 rewards included the Warrior of Light minion and Barding of Light. In response to player demand, we made all of these items available for the Rank 6 rewards. Due to this change, we've had to reconsider our options for the Rank 7 rewards. Today, I am pleased to announce that we have decided on the rewards for Rank 7 and Rank 8!

The original Minion of Light can appear as a Warrior, White Mage, or Black Mage. This second version calls forth a Monk, Thief, or Red Mage minion!

Red Mage Barding
This dapper crimson barding is perfect for the chocobo which has trained in all three roles!

We hope that all of you FFXIVers will find these rewards to your liking. Additionally, we are deliberating on when to release two more special items which have been requested by players. The first of these items is the Rename Card, which allows you to choose a new name for one character. The other is Amnesia Greens, which will reset any AP allocated to your chocobo companion, allowing you to redistribute AP as you like. Think of it as a kind of Keeper's Hymn just for chocobos! We hope that with the introduction of these two items, the FFXIV player community will be able to erase any regrets due to choosing an embarrassing character name, or because your chocobo is missing out on some special role-specific barding. Please look forward to it!
