Is the lag issue so severe it's taking them this long to find a fix?

Possibly. I'm sure they want to make sure they only have to fix it once, and not have a repeat of 2.0's launch where we went through three or four iterations of "It's fixed! Oh wait, no it isn't..."

The lag has infected the server that's responsible for all solo, story duties as well. The level 40 SCH quest is pretty much impossible right now because of the extreme delay. I noticed that the lag seems to be infecting the regular servers as well. Multiple people in my FC (including myself) were complaining about getting "stuck" when trying to talk to NPCs or interact with aetherytes and were frequently getting 90ked.

I figured there was no way in hell we wouldn't have maintenance last night, but here we are today and the servers have only gotten worse. Seriously, at least pretend to make an effort to fix the instanced servers.

Part of the reason monthly subscriptions are still a thing is under the guise of ensuring a high(er) quality of server connectivity and content stream. They seem to be holding up their end of the bargain with the content stream but these latest lagfests have been an absolute nightmare.

I understand you are frustrated with the "Lag" in game, we are working very hard to fix the problem, please be patient our team is doing what we can, sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you.

The lag has now spread like a virus to the whole experience. Maybe it's different for different data centers, but on my server it's all everyone is talking about in Shout, so I know it's not just me. Members of my FC based in other parts of the country are also being affected, so it's not an area or ISP thing, either. It takes seconds to dismount, and there's constant lag spikes, where everything stops moving for a few seconds and then starts back up again.

It's near unplayable. I hope they figure out the problem quickly.

I haven't had any problems playing the game, instanced or not. Maybe the problem's on your end.

You're a damn lie, every server is having a issue as SE themselves said it's known and they're looking into it, go white Knight another post.

Half my FC were kicked from the server and they all live in different countires.. it's not an issue on the customers end.
