Trash feels underwhelming in "expert" dungeons

I feel that trash packs are lacking in the new dungeons. There is no need for any sort of crowd control, and very rarely do mobs have abilities that should be interrupted in any fashion. Shouldn't these be things we are capable of when playing on an "expert" level, regardless of ilevel requirements? As a healer, I'd like to see mobs with some spike damage and other such things to keep us on our toes. There is rarely any sort of meaningful heal check or dps check ever really present for trash packs. Can we have something to change it up while on our way between bosses? Thoughts? Do people like trash packs as simple trash packs? Or was anyone else expecting more?

From what I can tell, what makes them Expert level is the bosses themselves. Rule #5 of any MMO, if the mobs are trash then the bosses are difficult. Plus well I don't think the mobs are trash as much as that everybody is overgeared for the places. Think about it, most of us are either getting in Myth (i90) or are already in it. The mobs cannot compete with that without being Coil level mobs.

The bosses aren't hard either. All of the 2.1 Hard mode dungeons were harder than the ones added in 2.2. The only exception is Diabolos, but that boss isn't really hard, it just requires communication, which is the bane of a pick up group.

The only thing that really makes these dungeons "expert" is the fact that the prerequisite to get into them is harder than getting into the 2.1 dungeons.

Crowd controlling trash is stupid as very few classes can cc, making it a crapshoot in DF. These dungeons are not tuned for i90 groups. That's what coil is for. Dungeons are never hard. Never were in other mmos. Some fights, like Diablo's take a few times to really learn, but they aren't meant to be super hard.

I agree, people forget that, by now 90% of the progression playerbase is going to GROSSLY outgear these places. Dungeons are designed more for newer players (especially the new dungeons as that's where the i70 drops ended up). It only seems odd now because you are looking at it from an "advanced" prospective. Imagine yourself someone who just meets the iLevel requirement to get in and hasn't done a single raid in this game or any game. THAT's the player these dungeons are meant to cater to.

Yeah, the dungeons only require I think an ilvl 55 to get in? Most people doing them are i80+, we just mass pull and aoe everything now.

But that was why I liked Pharos so much, but most people hated it, it was a challenge, and even that dungeon they nerf'd it bad for this patch, because so many people wouldn't do the dungeon or complained about it

Yeah, it's like the developers were afraid to create another Pharos and designed them child-proof.

There are already dozen of dungeons for new players, AK, WP, Copper and Haukke. These dungeons SHOULD have been designated for iLevel 90 gears.

Overgeared? They removed myth lockout in the same patch! Everyone is supposed to have i90 gear. They made it so its the standard...and then they dont put any dungeons out for that gear level...
