I second the call on bs on 40 hours without any drops. I can't imagine anyone has actually farmed fates in the correct zones with their zenith weapon equipped and didn't get a single atma in 30+ hours. the drop rate is low, but really? exaggeration much?
Well you better start believing it, because it IS happening. I am, unfortunately, one of those poor souls that hasn't seen another atma after 30+ hours since Sunday. And before you put your troll face back on, yes I am wearing my zenith curtana while spamming the right areas. RNG is RNG, trolls like you get lucky, doesn't mean the rest of us do.
I also call bs. Longest I've went without a drop was 5 hours, turned on music made it go by faster. No way can someone go 40 hours without a single drop.
As YoshiP said in the interviews this new Zodiac Systyem is another method to obtaining high level weapon. It's an option the players can choose.
1) From end-game dungeon - Bahamut's Coil
2) From Leviathan Ex (upgraded)
3) From upgrading your existing relic through this zodiac system, atma, etc...
If #3 is too hard for you, you still have option 1 & 2. No one is forcing you to get your relic upgraded, it's meant to be hard and long.
Do 1 & 2 and for 3 just do fates whenever you see them while doing other stuff, if you're lucky you'll progress. If you're grinding just #3 and complaining about it then that's your own fault.
However I do agree that the RNG factor for the drop rate is too extreme, they should place some sort of system where drop rate will increase say 0.1% per fate completion. This will at least take time but will also increase the drop rate. Only problem with this is it needs to be stored server side and that can lead to more processing with amount of players running FATE's right now. If they put that information on client side, people can hack it. Either way it still depends on the RNG, so those that are lucky will get with 1 try, those that are not will take 300 tries, even if it increased the chance by 50% you still have a 50% chance where it won't drop, if that continues, playesr will still complain lol.
Are you mad? hard? what do you find hard about this quest? It all comes down to ones luck which is pure BS.
Sure luck should be involved to a degree, but this is just BS. i've seen multiple people going on for 15-20 hours without a drop while other people get 3 in 5 hours or w/e.
That's why I suggested to increase the drop rate, it's pure RNG and I hate RNG... but if they're not going to fix RNG basically same as it being hard, it's pure luck based...Are you mad? hard? what do you find hard about this quest? It all comes down to ones luck which is pure BS.

Want them to add do 2000 fates and get 1 atma if RNG isn't going to work? which is better? lol
Right now the Atma (phase 1 of zodiac) is hard but once 2.3 or 2.25 is introduced they may make the first phase, 2nd phase of the progression easier (increase drop rate, make it 100% drop) either way you're still going to hit a wall once again when trying to overcome the new phase of the quest so people will keep on complaining about RNG.
If they put in non-RNG method it's going to be something crazy like I mentioned above 2000 fates for example for 1 atma, I can see people complaining if that happened too.

I completed my first set in about 13 hours. I have 4 atmas again and spent maybe 20 minutes. Guess I am just lucky, but the other day I got back to back atmas. Out of about 20 people I talked to, they all receive one in an average of an hour and half. Considering you can get it in a few days is not awful. Look how long it took people to clear all three hard mode primals.
Hey! quick thought exercise for everyone in these threads mentioning how fast they got their atma; if like, hundreds of people were posting that a major plot progression quest was simply broken, they couldn't turn it in, mobs wouldn't spawn, etc. but it had worked for you when you tried... would you feel the need to jump in and ask what all the whiners were complaining about?
No? Because that would be incredibly redundant, condescending and stupid? Cool! Please keep it in mind in the future, and thanks in advance.
I think this is a rather absurd analogy. complaints about atma farming is nowhere near the same as a broken dungeon. let's be real with the complaints about atma farming. people just want to be able to see the finish line and hate that other people's finish lines came up faster than their own. that's the complaint. not that a dungeon is broken.Hey! quick thought exercise for everyone in these threads mentioning how fast they got their atma; if like, hundreds of people were posting that a major plot progression quest was simply broken, they couldn't turn it in, mobs wouldn't spawn, etc. but it had worked for you when you tried... would you feel the need to jump in and ask what all the whiners were complaining about?
