    ok! you don't understand anything about the game, that's fine. Usually critical thinking skills are not required for playing games like this, so you can just coast, as you've been doing.

    The relic system, as of 2.1, at least, allowed players to get viable, though not BIS endgame weapons through a consistently repeatable, if long questline, without an element of randomness -- no drops to farm or anything like that. An un-zenithed relic, for many classes, was worse than Titan HM weapons, and even a Zenithed relic was worse than Primal Focus weapons for many classes, and, of course, Allagan weapons mostly beat everything. However, Titan HM means competing for a single random weapon out of twelve that may not drop no matter how often you run the instance, and both Primal Focus and BCOB5 were hard enough to be considered something to work toward, or even out of reach for some players.

    Upon this examination of "a relic reborn" we can say the merits of going for a relic in 2.0/2.1 over other comparable weapons are consistency and lack of competition, in exchange for requiring a lot of time and labor. Given this we can consider relics as an endgame option for people who don't have the time, patience or interest to run tons of parties looking for a single weapon drop and competing over upgrade items, or simply have other things competing for time that would be spent trying for a needed drop, but are willing to put in time to otherwise earn a weapon to start taking on harder content with.

    GIVEN THE EXTREME RNG COMPONENT OF UP IN ARMS, WITH MULTIPLE PLAYERS REPORTING A GRIND OF DOZENS OR HUNDREDS OF HOURS FOR THEIR ATMA, THIS QUESTLINE CAN BE CONSIDERED A FAILURE IN LIGHT OF "A RELIC REBORN."

    And of course i care, i like this game. I like it enough to expect better from developers who have proven they can design better content, and i care enough to try to get folks to understand exactly why this is an issue when dum-dums keep helpfully suggesting that IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE RNG, JUST GO FARM A WEAPON FROM LEVIATHAN AND COMPETE FOR THE UPGRADE ITEMS THAT RARELY DROP
