Me and a couple of friends got into a discussion about Briardien's sarcastic remark about investigating beginning to be an easy and common profession, something along those lines. We got into discussing ideas on how this can "upped" a level in some sorts.

"How about making a profession "inspector?""

Wouldn't it be a bonus to explore the unexplored corners of Eorzea like it hasn't been explore before? (from an adventurer's point of view). Offering help to the normal citizens of Eorzea solve their odd and unique problems that will remain unanswered without your help.

Inspired by Hildibrand's altruism, this venture will provide little to no reward, the look on your client's satisfied face should be enough gratification to push you forward to the next investigation. Each and every investigation and every part of the whole notion will be purely for the sake of investigation and one's curiosity, therefore should not provide you or anyone with any advantages in any other part of the game. Similar to as it stands at the moment (unless there is a big part in the side quest).

You can even hire a cute, crazy and sleep deprived assistant like Nashu! Maybe!

Maybe this can work via the embedded levelling system or it can work without being bound as such. Getting business can be by interacting with strangers (will finally give you a reason to talk to random npcs, if you weren't doing so before!) and having a wider version of the linkpearl used by Minfilia to contact you occasionally. Or they can make use of the venture system to have your retainers venture out to the wild, gather whatever s/he finds and coming across distressed individuals looking for your kind of help!

Ofcourse this is all optional and again should not alter any other part of the game, just another way of interacting with the world, in the eyes of Hildibrand. It's obvious we cannot become as known and "talented" as him (thus the "ordinaire") but it won't hurt to try!

Overall, this is a very raw idea that might die or bloom. Suggestions and thoughts are welcomed!
