I remember seeing this system utilized in Rift a while back and since it seems this game takes aspects of other MMOs and puts their own spin to them I don't see this being a huge leap. Upon reaching lv30 they had a system where any experience earned went towards acquiring points to put into different grids. Each piece unlocked would boost your primary/secondary stats. Of course there'd have to be a cap on how many points you could upgrade by due to balancing issues in FF14, but it would add some more depth to the end game content. Beyond that of just finishing story mode and gear/fate grinding. What would you do upon raising the level cap you ask? Simple. The extra bonuses could be locked (points being saved to that specific job of course) then re-opened upon hitting the next level cap. This system should be job specific just like attribute bonuses. In the end it would be a means to boost attribute bonus points (as well as secondary stat upgrades). This would give each class much more options towards diversity imo. I had to post this idea in response to a thread I read on here where people were complaining and /quitting due to the endless grind in end game. While I understand the displeasure towards the current system I really believe that people need to give it a chance to grow some more before making final game jumping decisions. A system like this would at least give players something to look forward to after getting their gear maxed and quests cleared. I on the other hand don't get much play time so I don't have everything done that I'd like to just yet and I'm starting to realize that I'm grateful that I'm not getting bored with the current content.
