Unfortunately, I can't get the site to load on Opera browser. It may be my add ons. Has it worked in this browser for anyone else?

Well, I ran it on a browser compatibility tool and it seems it only works with Opera version > 12.0. What version of Opera do you have?

I'm getting an error message that I can't even access the page, I should say. So perhaps it is one of my add ons.

how do you set this "solve" function to attempt to get quality up not just solve the recipe.

The solver's objective is to maximize quality, but it is using a method that relies on testing random changes to the sequence and there are no guarantees. If you are not seeing a change in the quality/sequence, it is possible that just hitting solve a couple of times will find a different solution, but it is also possible that you have found the best solution already.

First off ... Thank you for your work.

Please don't take the following wrong ... I'm hoping to highlight some bugs or opportunities.

I've been playing around with the optimizer and gotten some interesting results. When solving multiple times to get a better HQ rating, I noticed you do not always get a better rating than the previous. I'm guessing that is what the previous comment regarding a setting for the highest HQ rating was pointing toward.

I've also run into multiple instances of a solution with a strange action tacked onto the end.

Ex: MM II tacked on the end.

    Macro #1
    *snip (appropriate block of commands)
    /echo Macro step 1 complete <se.1>

    Macro #2
    /ac "Master's Mend II" <me> <wait.3>
    /echo Macro step 2 complete <se.1>

I would just like to clarify how you're solving repeatedly, because the solver should not return a worse (in terms of quality) result than that provided in the initial guess if a valid solution is supplied.

The correct way to go about repeat solving is to click the solver button and let the solver do its business. If the solution is an improvement over the initial guess, click the "use solver result" button to replace the initial guess, then click the solve button again. Rinse and repeat.

Is this what you mean by repeated solving, or did you just hit the solve button repeatedly and sometimes the result returned was worse than a prior result?

I've also run into multiple instances of a solution with a strange action tacked onto the end.
This is a known "feature" of GA. Essentially, if there is no change to the quality of the result, the algorithm can't tell if the solution is better or worse than another slightly different solution so it leaves in some actions that have no effect on the overall outcome.

    Recipe
    Smelling Salts

    Below is Copy/Paste Results

I am still leveling all my DoH classes so perhaps I'm not understanding some skills yet. ^^; I entered my stats and let it solve for that bane of my crafting universe, Walnut Lumber. Why did it give me two Steady Hands back to back? My current method is something like: IQ, SH, (BTx2, ST on a good), MM, HT if SH still up (ST if good, then some touch skill to max quality and CSynth)... well at this point it really depends... if I've had good luck with the 'goods', I'll use touches to get max quality; if bad luck I'll use Rumination for another MM refill and just toss caution to the wind with a few HT.

    /ac "Great Strides" <me> <wait.3>
    /ac "Steady Hand" <me> <wait.3>
    /ac "Inner Quiet" <me> <wait.3>
    /ac "Standard Touch" <me> <wait.3>
    /ac "Great Strides" <me> <wait.3>
    /ac "Standard Touch" <me> <wait.3>
    /ac "Great Strides" <me> <wait.3>
    /ac "Steady Hand" <me> <wait.3>
    /ac "Steady Hand" <me> <wait.3>
    /ac "Standard Touch" <me> <wait.3>
    /ac "Careful Synthesis" <me> <wait.3>
    /echo Macro step 1 complete <se.1>

I did activate all cross class skills available to me. I have all DoH classes between levels 32-35.

Thank you for clarifying, we will look into it since that is not supposed to happen.
