    Claiming Lag affecting SP gains

    ISP:
    Time Warner

    Type of Internet Connection:
    CATV

    Internet Connection Speed:
    5Mbit/s

    Date & Time:
    Date: 07-06-2011
Time: between 9pm est and 12pm est.

    Frequency:
Frequently when claiming mobs. Mainly leve mobs and behest mobs

    Character Name:
    Takahime Oso

    Race:
    Miqo'te

    World:
    Lindblum

    Class/Skill Rank:
    Archer, R34

    Physical Level:
    50

    Area and Coordinates:
At Nanawa Mines, and Nophica Wells

    Party or Solo:
Party, With Garron, and Alisandra. I forget their surnames, I will edit when I find them out

    NPC Name:
Mobs. Leve mobs and Behest mobs in both areas.

    Monster Name:
Dodos, gnats, bogs, and antlions from behests/leves in these two areas.

    In-Game Time:
Sometime between 9pm est and 12pm est

Detailed steps on how the issue occurred.

I would be the group puller, claim the mobs and pull back away from other aggressive mobs. I would pull with arrow shots. The damage from the initial hit would take, and then the claim would happen shortly after. No other mobs were claimed when these issues occurred. The proportion of damage from my initial attack would also reduce any SP gained by that same proportion. So if my initial attack that claimed the mob hit for 50% of the monsters health, and the total possible SP would be 200, I would only get 100 SP.

To me it appears to just be claiming lag. Damage is calculated before the claim is noted to be mine. That removed health from the mob affects the SP calculation once the mob is dead. Frustrating to see.
