Animus Weapons Underpoweresd

I don't mind fate grinding the 12 atmas. I don't mind myth farming 13500 to upgrade an Atma weapon to the Animus version. But I do mind that a ilvl110 Animus weapon is underpowered in comparison to other weapons of the same ilvl.

Atma version (ilvl 100) => same damage/stat levels as an ilvl 90 relic or ex primal weapon
Animus version (ilvl 110) => same damage/stat levels as an ilvl 100 weathered weapon

There should at least be an appropriate reward for the task.

Animus weapon is i100. And this is why I haven't bothered with the quest until the drop rates increase, the reward is not worth it atm.

My mistake about the ilvl. Yea, they're indeed both ilvl 100 after rechecking. The end fact still remains the same though that Animus weapons' stats are underpowered in relation to the effort you need to do.

The animus weapon with the stats you've seen is still not "done" yet. And that's the point.

Yep, I agree the reward isn't worth the amount of effort you have to put in it... To an extent. If you look at it in the long run, then it might be worth it. They will be adding in new upgrades to the weapon with later patches and soon we'll even be able to customise the stats on it iirc. I think by the very end it will be the best weapon.

So, in some ways its good to do it now, so as soon as those upgrades are made available, you're much closer to the goal.

That being said, I agree with Sove92. These later patches will also most likely include a buff to the atmas drop rates. Right now, I just don't feel it is worth the effort (despite the long term potential), especially when I can just get Levi X or Gerolt weapon for the same ilvl and have a much funner time doing it.

And history teaches that you should never do something if you dont know the end result for sure, especially when involves SE. If in the future they'll finish the atma relic quest and you find the weapon being weaker than some content (example coil) you going to be extremely frustrated. Happened in the past already with SE. Thats why i dont bother with blackbox stuff. Show what we get, then we might think if its worth or not.

Levi X, fine...
But Gerolt weapon... requires saving Soldiery for three weeks AND getting an item that that so far has only been confirmed as a Second Coil drop...

I'll be just fine with a Levi ex/high Allagan weapon, probably easier to get both of those weapons anyway.

I don't think people have a problem with that, its just, that considering the work you have to put in they should actually be the best weapon in the game or at least comparable to High Allagan weapons.
