It's actually not, you rarely see that behavior in WoW these days, you used to though.

This game is actually a lot more toxic than WoW.
(I would say its comes from FF11 actually, because that sort of behavior existed a lot more than it did in WoW)

To the OP, you need to find yourself a good FC or group of people to do stuff with together, using DF is one of the worst things you can do in this game tbh.

I can tell you from experience, XI NEVER had this (9 years experience). You'd see it very very rarely if that, most people were willing to help people out, even taking time to explain fights to people who hadn't done it yet.

XIV is so far the worst community (not everyone, but a large portion of it) I've seen in mmos. Never before have I seen such rude and childish people who can't take ~2 mins to explain something to someone who's new / never done the fight or who are quick to blame certain people for every mistake or they cry and rage quit because they couldn't beat something in 1-2 tries.

Maybe you had a bad experience, but all mine were great, never ran into the crap you see in XIV
