So sorry you had to go through that Ignore the bad talk and just do your thing. If they have useful things to say, listen to them. Otherwise don't pay them attention.
Somehow people are expecting insane gear for HM dungeons even though most are doable with lesser gear ilvls, albeit a tad more challenging, but thats where people go to gear up, so they might as well suck it up.
Compare your rotation to Odett's or others that are posted online and see if there is something to adjust or if they are indeed just pinning blame on you for no real reason.

Oh, I'd ignore them to a point. Then if it gets too bad, I'd just leave. These types of people just feed off of negative attention so there is little point in starting a argument.
Afterwards, I would report them for harassment.

However, I'm sorry that you have run into so many jerks in DF. Please don't be discouraged from the game as they are the minority- regardless of how loud they are.
Some people think that they should behave like spoiled brats simply because they 'can'. Thankfully, those people are also the first to grow bored and leave.

As others have mentioned, look for a friendly FC. Most of the DF bs can be avoided by having a good FC that will run things with you.
If I were on Gilgamesh, I'd welcome you. Sadly, my FC is on Goblin Server.

If it gets bad and you want to switch servers, feel free to come to Goblin. It's a small, casual FC, but we have some quality players.
^^ My character there is Bisera Cecilina.

Keep in mind that some players are so lacking in social skills that they only want they can get any grouping done is by forcing others to party with them through DF.

One thing I like to do is before i start a dungeon that I haven't done before, i type, "Hello, first time here", or something to that effect. I find people tend to help out more that way too.

If you're looking for a new server come check me out on Cactuar. Im still a fairly new 50, so we can bitched out together haha!

Yep, I do that every time as well.

The only time someone EVER had an issue with it was recently in Titan HM.
Someone said "Of all the fights. You choose this one..."
Before I could type a response, someone came to my defense saying "There's a first time for everything. Now stfu and deal damage"

Needless to say, he shutup for the rest of the duty.

From experience, letting everyone you're new will help quite a bit. People will explain mechanics to you, and are generally appreciative that you actually let them know it's your first time to that particular dungeon/duty.

Just had an AK run throught DF yesterday where the tank(pld) said he was new to the dungeon, this caused the SCH to leave even before I reached the first set of stairs. After this the tank left leaving me and the DRG to stand and wonder wth just happened.
I have nothing against new players in dungeons, heck most have just been new players in the 2.2 dungeons

It's just a perceptual thing that other people have a problem with. It's nothing you did wrong.

The reason is that the masses scream for easier content, because any struggle in a game these days is considered a waste of time (what ever happened to the 8bit nintendo generation?). So, SE in their understanding of people's desires, give everyone what they majority wants: A bunch of repeatable easy content(namely the dungeons). The masses rejoiced! They quickly ate up this easy content. However, it's a grading curve. Easy is the new hard.

You are joining content that is perfect for your equipment level. However, most people doing this content feel very achieved because they are just stumbling through it, ignoring mechanics, because they are WAY over the gear cap. The required gear level for the new "expert" dungeons is ilvl55. Most players that have been playing a couple weeks are i90. They probably have double your health, which means they can screw up twice as much without dieing. :P If you are completing the same dungeons and not dieing, you are actually challenging them at their desired difficulty level and succeeding. That's what they are actually taking offense to. You are making it look too easy. :P

All I can say is just ignore them. Actually if you don't mind doing some of the other roulettes, like the main scenario, or the high level roulette, it will give you alot more myth tomes than the expert roulette does. Then you could avoid these people's comments by being as geared as them by buying the myth gear. It wouldn't take more than a few hours probably to get a significant amount of gear. But I guess the point is you shouldn't have to. If you are doing the new expert dungeons fine and you enjoy them, you should be able to do what makes you happiest.

Just move to an EU server. Seriously. There are american players there too.

I've played on four servers from the EU group and these things just don't happen there.

To the OP. As long as you are adequately geared for the fight you are ok. From your post, you are geared enough for the runs, just ignore those idiots that know nothing but speed running everything.

Sorry to say this to you, but that was your problem. You're doing 2.2 content as a very fresh 50. You may not know this, but currently Brayflox HM is the "go to" dungeon for 2.2 endgame farmers. You'll mostly see long timers in there. For fresh 50's, WP/AK is the starting place. Though I'd say, try to save up some gil and just get crafted i70 gear. Its crafting mats are bought with company seals now, which are easy to farm.

Actually, if you did enough sidequests on your first playthrough, many first 50's can save up to 150-200k gil. That's more than enough to get decently geared right away. That should get you started with Crystal Tower. Make your way to i80 and you'll be ready for Coil 1-5 (many coil PF parties ask for i80+ now). I believe this is the way to go, or else you'll run into complainers.
