The august date? It was posted on these forums not that long ago about a rumor at a chinese website, as talked about here http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...hinese+website, note I said rumor as that's all it was to begin with.

There is no set date, which is why I said it wouldn't be too far off base to assume october if the patches between now and then get the game to where they feel it's adequate to begin testing the PS3 version, since the only way to get this game currently is purchasing -- also given the timing of financial period start/ends it wouldn't be too surprising if it begins around then since this game is generating next to no income lol.

As for it being a second chance, it was in the connecton interview.
