7 hours 0 atmas, rapidly losing the will to continue

More or less 16 hours and 4 atmas.
I'm completely sick and tired of it.

I had really good drop rates from 1-4, 3 being from the shroud.
Then in central thanalan i did 280 fates and nothing yet

It's okay. I spent 3 1/2 days on my first Atma....

Then last night in my first FATE I got my second Atma. Continuing later than I should have stayed up...I quickly found my luck was short lived.

I don't know how many hours I've put into it. Maybe 5 or 6 total? I have 5 Atmas. Logged in this morning before work in East Shroud, did the Mead escort leve, got my Atma, logged out and went to work. It was pretty satisfying.

I've been doing this pretty casually as I'm more interested in grinding out gear from Coil. If you go at it all day it's of course going to wear you down. Doing it in smaller spurts seems better, but if you can handle the grind then more power to ya.

Spent pretty much the whole weekend farming these. Best was getting two within half an hour. Worst was farming in lower la nocsea for almost ten. Total so far for the 11 I have about 35 total hours.

My last one I've been farming for in western thanalan and it's been about 5 hours so far. I hope to get it tonight when I get home from work.

Then I can kiss this ridiculously boring timesink portion good bye.

Ive gotten all mine, and im working on the book but in the book you have to do 3 more fates and they just take forever to spawn, been sitting in East Shroud waiting for The Enmity of My Enemy to spawn and it just wont.... I did it last night at 330am but I got a silver and it didn't count. SADFACE.

To get Atma you must have your +1 equipped and be getting Gold on the fate. Better party up to make things easier.

Got my 12th one last night. So with all the hours added up it looks like this broken down based on the times I recorded:

Atma of Fish: 10 hours
Atma of Bull: 7 hours
Atma of Twins: 5 hours
Atma of Scales: 4 hours
Atma of Crab: 3 hours
Atma of Goat: 2 hours
Atma of Archer: 2 hours
Atma of Ram: 1 1/2 hours
Atma of Water: 1 hour
Atma of the Maiden: 30 mins
Atma of Lion: 30 mins
Atma of Scorpion: 30 mins

So it was about 37ish hours of pure atma farming from Thursday evening, over the weekend, to last night when I finally got the last one (atma of Twins). I did not account the breaks I took running coil and HM dungeons.

So the best was getting two in one hour and the worst was the 10 grind in lower la noscea as I stated in a previous post.

So it RNG can very so I hope this helps with people how might be a little discouraged after getting nothing for hours of FATE grinding.

You don't need gold to get an atma. And being in a party has zero bearing on getting one or not. 9 of mine came solo.
