I still play XI at the time, started back in 2006. What I like of XIV over XI are, like you, male Miqo'tes (and female Roegadyn, though making Roe without the Galkan tail killed my will to roll as one), and most of all how exploration-friendly the areas are (you can very easily avoid aggro by following the roads, and if a mob spots you, it can be easily outran); it was my major peeve with XI, to have to wait to be higher level to see the cool zones. I'm kinda glad to see many aspects of XIV implemented in XI, such as the Records of Eminence (Previously vaguely similar to Hunting Log, but now exactly like the Challenge Log) and the look-locking, which is what closer to Glamour we'll ever get.

There isn't much I miss from XI that I'd like to see in XIV. Playing both games, I prefer that they keep their differences; This game shouldn't be XI-2... It was already bad enough that the races were identical (It's why I rolled male Miqo'te. I wanted something I couldn't play on XI). Though I admit there are things that could be taken from there that would make XIV's experience wider. Mainly the variety of jobs and areas, but those are things that I definitely look forward to come out with expansions.

I guess, as an XI player, all in all I'm pretty content with how the games are^^ Now I just hope SE doesn't ruin XIV by bringing forth Abyssea there too (the introduction of Atmas in XIV gave me an heart attack). Aby is still at this day my most hated aspect of XI, I blame it for XI's fall in popularity and I wish it'd just go away >_<!! I want my old exp parties back.
