Who of you come from or once played FFXI?

For me I miss the seasons and how much they affected everything, my house moogle, breeding chocobos, the mobs ability to "smell" or "hear" you, how much elements mattered, playing in all Japanese parties, that big tree in Windurst, Galka tails, and the glitched parts only us on PS3 could get in.

Anything you miss?


What I am glad for in FFXIV-ARR are manthras. Bout time!

I miss non-instanced content that felt rewarding and zones in the open world that you would still die in at 75.

I miss that and more... but would rather prefer the game progressed as it already does. Nostalgia doesn't a better game make, after all, and can often hurt more than help.

I think the word Nostalgia is over used it a type of gameplay style that may not be enjoyed by everyone

Yeah, community spirit that lead to "JP Only", "lol[insert non-bandwagon job]", "Delve Weapons only to fight Delve monsters", "TP Burn only", etc.

If you're going to look back at a game, give people the whole facts.

Agreed. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy XIV, but something that frustrates me to no end is that the entire endgame is literally instances. Instances. Instances.

By next patch I hope to see some legitimate open-world endgame. It would make me feel so much better about this game. (If I'm stepping on anyone's toes by asking for this, you can friggin shove off, your selfishness sickens me.)

Not exactly the same thing trust me on this one but they did just give you fate open world grinding for Atma's. (lol)
