atma drop rates

I'm confused. Some people are saying the new drop rates are amazing, but I haven't seen one Atma all day today. And yes, I have a Zenith equipped.

How many people were running the FATEs with you? I did most of mine early in the morning, before going to work. I heard a rumor that the drops were divided by the number of Zenith-equipped characters participating in the FATE. If this is correct, you'll want to run the FATEs at a time when most people are doing something else, as I did.

I farmed this for over a month, FAITHFULLY, everyday, 5 hours daily, every minute. I quit playing because it was not fun anymore farming all the time for a weapon I wanted like so many others had. I was so disgusted with a month of farming 5 hours a day and having seen only 7.
Some people were walking out and getting them done in two days. I had one friend get his for, it doesnt matter. He did little time and got it quite fast.

I came back after 2.4 and now here I am again for days, farming for the last five. I spend 4 hours now and yesterday 8 and still have yet to see a single one of the five I have remaining. If one more person asks if I have the weapon equipped or if I am in the right zone, I'll scream.
This drop rate sure hasn't helped me, not in the slightest.

At this point I think it's too late for me personally to continue with relic upgrade quest and get enough fulfillment from it to make the grind worth it... i keep my relic zenith weapons on me even though I have better ones to swap out for fates but after doing some more low level synched fates I asked myself- do I want to keep doing this, just to get to a stage where I'm camping fates on a really long spawn timer for hours, etc to get an upgrade to one weapon when I use several level 50 classes situationally? For me the answer is no, not now that I have ilvl 110 weapons and will probably have even better ones by the time I could catch up with upgrading my relic zenith. It might make sense for some people but for me they did this too late to make it worthwhile, and I don't have enough time to do the things I enjoy in the game as it is, let alone the things I don't. It's an individual decision but I can't be the only one thinking its too little, too late.

Yeah, I'm starting to agree. I just finished my SCH Novus last night, and am in no rush to farm for Nexus like I did for my first one. I would like to work on my BLM relic, even if just for glamour, but then I think of how much insane effort it is to get through all 9 books for a glamour weapon (because I already have the i110 Laevateinn).

Look. I am not asking SE to make this easier but more reliable. Some guy gets all his atma in 12 hours and I farm for 10 and can't even get one. How is it not easy for him. I don't know why developers USE RNG for things like this. It always always upsets the community. Star wars the old republic when it first launched used RNG for their pvp gear and pissed everyone off. Make it that we have to farm 100 fates per atma. I would love that. there we still work hard but at least we know when we're going to get our loot. not someone getting their atma in 5mins and me taking 10hours to get same atma. When no skill is involved just pressing 2 buttons cos we're synced

I agree, Mercutio. I hate the RNG game. It's like trying to win at Pachinko. It's horrible game design.

this isnt true, i spent five hours in central shroud without a drop, and only other people running around in the fates was a level 12 rog and 14 thm

RNG is garbage, or as i like to refer to it as, RFG (random f**kyou generator)

Spend around 2-3 hrs a day farming Upper La Noscea for Atma of Lion, day 6 and counting... Ridiculous.

It is not correct, I've seen people in the same group getting an Atma each from the same FATE. As in, one FATE dropping more than one Atma.
