I'm attacking your lack of seeing the big picture. You chime in every thread and say the same thing. "It hasn't happened to me so your experience is exaggerated or you are doing it wrong."
Funny you accusing me of trying to discredit you and attacking your character when that's all you've been doing to others.
Challenge accepted.
once youve been in a zone long enough you will know where the auto spawn fates are, which ones must be manually triggered, which ones have secondary fates that follow, and their general time spent solo or in groups to complete.
Based on this, you can predict pretty reliably where to go for ideal chance at full fate credit on more fates per hour as well as when to travel out of the way to get 2 or 3 before others re-pop.
Comes with practice.1. GC seals drop at a regular rate, and pretty fast rate when farming fates level 30+.
2. Using the seals, you get easy access to repeating quick ventures indefinitely
3. ...as well as spiritbonding draughts. Farm fates with gear you can convert into profitable materia at a nice pace.
4. Basic gil drops aren't that impressive, but the gil rewards from satisfying challenge logs can add up.
5. Chocobo grinding is not just convenient to do for safety/speed in fates, every week you can kill 100 mobs (in fates due to levelsync), which will gurantee an extra 15% chocobo xp for the given level, once a week.
6. I do try and team up not only for some socializing and cooperative groaning when new members get the drop as soon as they join, but to speed up general fate completion rates.
7. Now that my main class weapon is no longer zenith, I found farming atma as an opportunity to practice rotations and macros on my less-used classes.
8. Beastmen daily quests have some fate drops which you can farm in advance. I find this a matter of convenience, but still handy.
9. And of course, occasionally getting atma. I have 72 so far, and the average droprate has been 3.25%.
The one bit of side strategy I employ- Sometimes I go on for hours with no drops. Now I know this could be purely RNG, but out of habit i try and rule out potential 'zenith detection' game bugs too, by changing out of a zenith weapon class, and back in, every once in awhile.
No regrets, as my per- atma wait has never been over 10 hours. Ever.
Certainly, but how exactly would you quantify that? I doubt even a percent of the players have ever posted in here, let alone voiced a yea-or-neigh opinion. And as we know, complaining is ALWAYS more common than support. A: its easier, B Those who like: play, they tend to not follow stuff in here as much, C: WK stigma, harassment, etc.
I mean yeah you could do a poll, but refer to B.
Granted. In fact, I believe your exact stance was expected by SE. Some will grind it all now. More will just get their favorite weapon and stop. More still will find another progression path. All valid choices.
Aside: No single faction of players will always see eye to eye to every other faction. and this MMORPG is meant to be a place where fans of the entire series can find stuff they like to do, no matter which title they liked the most.
Injecting this playstyle into a few facets of the game, while not creating lockouts to explore new areas, is a smart way to add variety. Just like many elements of the tanaka-esque atma are here, FFXII's marks in 2.3, and ffIII's crystal tower, Gilgamesh's FFV similarities.I see, so when you were abrasive with me, defending myself was an opportunity to topic stalk me and discredit me down the road. Convenient. Also, pot meet kettle.
Wrong zone or wrong weapon are important points, especially for someone who has not farmed many up. Everyone has made mistakes like that, even you. Even me.
And yet you have more to say.
Its 74 now. The droprate for the last nine isn't changing my average at all. But I'm sure you don't care.
Continue to attack me if you must. I am sharing evidence, and to voice my support for a game feature that a select few people find important to push SE to alter, for the sake of their wants.
Why can't we have multiple paths to high end weapons? Do they all have to be earned through straight dungeons or bosses? You already have Levi weapons, Soldiery weathered/unweathered weapons t9 weapons and even Ramuh weapons soon. Why is it so important to take this play style away from those of us who support it?
Now you are putting words in my mouth. No, I do not consider myself more entitled than anyone else.
But the door is open, this is a new feature. Lo and behold, some like it, some do not. To each his/her own. But you seem interested in taking something we like away from us. Because it doesn't fit your own definition of fun, you think none of us should have the right to play this way. Or is that not what you are inferring? Please clarify if so.
Now who is grasping at straws? He asked me "what if the majority" etc etc, and I responded with a yes answer. If it were quantifiable.
If.
