I'm mostly annoyed with the RNG because the rest of the game has been easy to set aside a couple hours around my kids to get stuff done, but here it just feels like I'm grinding endlessly for no progression to the next relic upgrade. Not everyone is a college kid or whatever with 40+ hrs of disposable free time each week.
