atma drop rates

Enjoy the increased drop rate, because the changes to Allagan Tomestones actually make the upgrade process past that stage longer than it was before. While atmas became "cheaper" in terms of time investment, books and mysterious maps became comparatively more costly.

I haven't notice to much of a difference tbh. 4500 compared to the old 13500. Yes you are receiving soldiery tomes at a reduced rate compared to mythology as of previous farming but i can cap my soldiery tomes in 24 hours easily enough. Just my thoughts

I've decided to upgrade my armor to Noct before going after the books and maps, anyway. I mean, what the hell... I'm already behind the curve because it took me so long to get my Atma relic, right?

The drop rate is much better. I have 12 sets of Atma now for all jobs plus the 2 new jobs for Heavansward.

Probably a noob question but how did you do that? can atmas still drop even after upgrading your relic beyond that? I'm currently still collecting them for my relic, but its my first relic so far lol

They only drop if you're equipped with a Zenith, but you don't have to turn them in as soon as you get them. Got multiple Zeniths? Farm Atmas with one of the ones you haven't upgraded. Only got one Zenith but want to farm every Atma ever early? Just keep that relic at Zenith and stuff your retainers with Atmas until you won't need anymore.

Once you turn your Zenith weapon into an Atma weapon, simply go to any of the 3 calamity scavengers located in the major cities and purchase another relic weapon (48,000 gil when I did it pre 2.4). Take that weapon and the required Thavnairian mist and oil to Gerolt just like you did previously. (you do not need to re-run the HM primals). Turn them in and he will make you a shiny new zenith. Now you can work on collecting Atma while waiting for fates for your book. Just remember that if you need to do something for the Atma books that you put your Zenith weapon away and equip the Atma version. Happy hunting.

I'm confused. Some people are saying the new drop rates are amazing, but I haven't seen one Atma all day today. And yes, I have a Zenith equipped.
