atma drop rates

I meant to end the thread with the previous comments, so I'm just getting out of it. Think what you want about me, go ahead and cry for your atmas, no one will hand them over to you.
You can sit here calling me a troll as much as pleases you guys, I'm too busy farming my atmas efficiently for Bravura Atma.

What you start with before you acquire all the Atma:

Gae Bolg Zenith

What you receive after you've turned in all your Atmas:

Gae Bolg Atma

You literally grind all those FATE's for a color change and the privilege of grinding myth tomes. No stat or damage increases, just a palette swap and a label that says Item Level 100.

...A 3% chance is a 3% chance no matter how many attempts you make at it. This isn't a grind, this is gambling and time/effort is the currency you're gambling with.

As I've mentioned before, I believe via probability analysis that the actual rate is lower than 3%. Have the devs actually stated that's what the rate is? Just curious.

As far as I know, they haven't. I've seen 3% thrown around by others, but can't rightly say whether it's accurate or not.

When I did the Atma drops on an alt, I would sometimes go anywhere between 5-10 hours without a drop and other times I'd get them as quickly as anywhere between the first and fifth FATE in a given zone. So with that bit of history, it doesn't seem like it takes previous FATE completions into account, but is straight-out per FATE.

14 hours and I have half of my ATMAs, started the grind on Friday, only 2 of those ATMAs were seriously a pain, and they were in zones with few fates and higher levels. Wondering how much Silver contribution affects your chances though.

Add my name to another person fed up with atmas. The alex and animus books stuff sounds fun. But this atma grind is not any fun at all. And considering how much better it is than my UAT+sands weapon it is really starting to bother me. The next patch really needs to have a UAT+Sands option. Hell even the original relic quest was fine. Whats so bad about giving people a good weapon? They will still grind their eyes out for whatever gear is best (back them it was endless Cm runs). But the weapon stat difference is too damn big to simply ignore, if you chose to opt out because you hate it you won't be invited to coil because of seriously low damage.

For what class? Because the Novus at least for blm is not mind blowing better then my soldiery weapon of which i do plenty of damage

again count yourself as one of the lucky ones, well over 300 fates and around 3 months of grinding tell me so, and still only 6 atmas.
Maybe you would then agree that atma IS actually bad, just not for those that rng seem to always love them in this game

Err =/ that comment wasn't to be taken literally. If you read the thread you'll see that I'm pretty much the staunchest opponent to the Atma system. If it wasn't for the fact that I have an FC with hundreds of people in it I'd boycott SE for generating piss poor game design in a fairly popular subscription based game for the second time in three or four years. As it is I just honestly warn friends about the game if they ask about it. I have ~100 hours in and I'm not nearly done my first set. Took several FC members well over 120hrs to finish one full set.

Spent plenty of hours grinding out 8/9 completed Atma weapons so far. No regrets.

After hunt rush dies down a bit, ill set aside a day or two to flesh out the final weapon atmas. And a second set for ninja. Piece of cake, with a little patience.
