Thread: Are we going to be recognized? [Tank Mounts Rant)

Any information on if/when they're going to recognize us for previous performance in "Full Party" dungeons? Ive read a lot of posts. mostly what im concerned about are the people who are now leveling tanks to speed run stuff like garuda ex, or t4 just to get the mounts.

It feels like everything youve worked for up til this point, isnt being counted. pretty much saying: "yeah youve been tanking since the beginning, but this is motivation to KEEP tanking." Horrible motivation to me, for people who thought they were on the right track, probably feel like it didnt even matter.

TL;DR - I feel that veteran tanks are pretty much pushed back to the level of people who will now level tanks and speed run everything that's easy to get the new mounts instead of being rewarded for previous progression.

SE/yoshi p should actually elaborate on what they meant by "these mounts are for players working hard from before", because right now it feels like im starting from scratch.

The achievement is only counting Full Party (8 Man Groups) Duties anyway.

Don't know about you, but my completed instanced dungeon raid count just hit 500. I'm betting my completed Full Party Duties account for less than 20% of that number.

Why are you upset? The Bear is an okay looking mount, but the White Lion is just a reskinned Chimera with some cosmetic surgery. Neither are really worth putting in the effort to acquire if you ask me.

Dat Bomb Mount is dope though. I am getting that. After I'm done subjecting myself to the torture that is FATE grinding, of course.

i just feel that progress should be counted from the first time you tanked sastasha, til now, endgame and extreme stuff. but they need to count it ALL. a real tank tanks everything. not just endgame. knowing your fundamentals is different than memorizing rotations from a mr happy video. i just dont feel like its a fair thing to only count for progress of extreme primals/coil only for these mounts.. count it all, or dont give away/advertise a mount or potential reward for your progress. just saying.

I do a lot of 8 men but didnt got any update

It's Ex Primals and Coil T1 - T9 (not t3). The rest of the 8 mans don't count. FYI it was in the patch notes which ones counted.

yeah, it WAS in the patch notes which ones counted. and like i said, ive done a lot of coil but didnt get rewarded for any of that

Sadly we are all reset to 0. If they haven't counted post patch, then bug report. If you're complaining, then join one of the many threads already out there.

It was kinda lame how healers got their job mount handed to them at level 30. And honestly i don't get why playing tank is such a big deal, i enjoy doing it but i don't get why some people don't even try it, like healer it is more of an acquired taste and only certain kinds of people will get into it but some dps mains refuse to even give tanking a go, same with healing actually.

On a side note, this tank achievement thingie has allowed healers to get the x7 gil rewards from the roulettes. An extra 35k that they may not have had before if they were daily rouletters.

It is a bit of a bummer the credit didn't count before 2.2, but it seems to be getting more groups started and presumably giving more people exposed to the "joys" of being a tank.
