I don't think it made a difference, honestly. There's nothing preventing them from making a R1 troll alt, since alts are free right now.

It's incredibly easy to spot the troll alts/sockpuppets now and ignore them.

I don't troll, but I'm not interested in letting the whole world know who I am with the current state the boards are in.

Should it get to the point where I need a paid character to keep my anonymous status, I'll keep to not posting anymore. Maybe until a day where topics complaining about every thing SE wants to do is at an all time minimum. *thinks about that last sentence* Pfft.

I did have an earlier character shown in my sig some time back. Ceronyx Nelios, doesn't exist anymore anyway. Now to why I currently hold back from showing myself, I'm afraid of serious backlash because of a comment that may one day slip because of how these forums currently are. Everybody's going about for what SE should do, what they shouldn't do, and there's nothing stopping anyone at this time from making a free character onto your own realm to spam insults at you only because they may not like your comments.

I've seen live streams of people suddenly having viewers create characters on their server just to annoy the hell out of the caster.

If they do that then you report them for harrassment, also they cant make unlimited characters because they would need more codes, which in the box you get 2, the one on the manual and the guest pass, so if somone was gonna buy more than one box just to harrass somone over a forum post they have more issues to worry about than harrassing somone over a forum post.

If I see people with a r1 mule linked I would see them as a troll and nothing more, because there is no other reason to link a mule. if people keep spamming you about a forum post it is against the ToS because it is harrassment, there is also the blacklist and you would eventually blacklist all their characters, these people arent rmt that make thousands of mules they are just trolls and will not go through the cost of buying more codes just for troll characters
