Market Boards - Increase Categories

Hey folks!

So... there are a lot--and I mean a LOT--of items in the Miscellany category of the market boards. It's... kinda difficult to search through them sometimes.

Therefore, I wanted to propose these new categories:

Chocobo -> This Category will contain both Chocobo Feed (Training and Color-Changing) as well as Chocobo Barding (Levin Barding, Tidal Barding, etc.)

Party Items -> This Category will contain consumable items that unleash a special visual/audio effect when used. (i.e. Confetti, Fireworks, Prisms, etc.)

Minions -> This Category will contain minions to add to one's Minion Guide.

I also suggest moving the following items to the following categories:

-Tallow Candle -> Reagents
-Beeswax Candle -> Reagents
-Exquisite Buttons -> Cloth

I would like to see better filters for food items, like filter only CP+ food, or only Det+ food instead of browsing through the entire list for food that fits my needs.

Better filters in general would be nice. When you're looking for hats for your Thaumaturge or Gladiator, you don't really want hats that give you CP or GP.

Yes there definitely should be a lot more filters and things should be organized better. There should also be a tab for items that have no use like the gobcogs and stuff.

Maps should have their own too.

Would love to see sub categories especially in big categories like food or reagents.

We agree that over time the amount of items that belong to the "Miscellany" category has been growing rapidly. As such, we're looking into introducing new categories to the market board to help sort out the miscellaneous. However, as this will require the market board user interface to be modified, actual adjustments may come further down the road.

More importantly, why are seeds, topsoil and fertilizer in the "Outdoor furnishing" category? this makes little sense and it took me (no joke) 5 months to actually find them without having to look them up in Lodestone or XIVDB and then searching by name, one by one.

I agree that this has a place in the "Housing" group, but could we please have a "Gardening" sub-category?

I'm kind of mixed on this. one part of me agrees.. And the other part feels we need something else in game that we can look at. like recipes. i wish we could mouse over an item and figure out which category it belongs to.. and then know what to type in the search field when seeking that item. wait doesn't it say on the item what kind of item it is, on the tool tip?

okay scratch the second part then. so maybe instead of having to pull up an outside resource like a website(some people are on ps4 and don't have this game on their computer), maybe if we had an app on our smart phone to look up recipes we may not be high enough crafter to have in our recipe list. wait, don't we have Libra Eorzea a free app? okay scratch that then.
