Exactly.I have to agree showing less but still somewhat showing is very sexy. Like the dark knight Gear that we getting for FFXIV it show a little but still revealing. There no need to have our females in the game half nude in battle this is not porn but you still need some type of sex appeal i guess.
*btw...is there a way to ban GreatLeviathan from this thread. so far he/she has repeatedly posted nothing helpful in light of ff14. but as succeeded in upsetting a few people.*
So this topic's name is attracting so many posts soon enough Bayohne will post here something like:
"Hey, gang! I asked Yoshida about your desire of having sluts, strippers, topless and spicy armors ingame...and his answers was to suggest you guys a more frequent usage of doujins."
But seriously...this game has some decent appealing armors...subligaria here beats FFXI one by far, most undershirt/undergarments too...and the coatees...i can't say how much i wanted such kind of armor.
About the comments regarding leg pieces to be like FFXI ones, coatee set follows FFXI pattern, having different looking for male and female characters...so all you need to do is wait. Also, keep in mind that summer festival is just around the corner! I can't wait for swimsuits/bikinis to pop here! ^^
But if you guys want to increase sexappeal from current armors, just ask them to add physics to dody pieces (if you know what i mean)...this is the main point of Tifa becoming so popular. =P
About having more/less armor showing, i suggested them a while ago the option of partially hiding armors, like being able to hide the legs protector from subligars, the band and the bra from shirts, the belly protector of harnesses, visors from barbuts, etc. This way you can have the armor you want, but without being forced to cover your character more than you want.
And, finally, once crysta system is up, having skins are also a good option since they're something only the skin owner can see. This will happen anyway so why not having an official way of obtaining them...even for 18+ skins.

Last i checked the humans do exist.Again, you're trying to impose your standards (in this case, what is "fun") on others.
Which "just happen" to be meat and skins.
Again, if "doesn't exist" = "doesn't matter," then why do you care about the amount of skin shown on races that don't exist?
Name one.
If someone is arguing that it should, it isn't me. I find the content is appropriate to both its rating and my personal tastes. You're the one trying to argue that the game should instead be rated for a lower age (and then kept at those standards).
Rosa never slept with Cecil, hm?
"Sex appeal" doesn't mean "full frontal nudity." Other names for it include "cheesecake" and "fanservice." Having the occasional, optional striperiffic outfit doesn't equal opening a red light district in Limsa Lominsa to lure in sailors. It looks like you're having a kneejerk reaction over the word "sex."
Have you looked at Lion in FFXI lately?!
I am glad that "my standards" are apperantly being seen by SE then huh.
For 14 aditions now ?
SE should not change a game cause of a few guys not getting it done at home and wanting more nude bs in a game.
Those games are called Manga/hentai.
Here i will give you 2 shooters.
Soldier Front and Counterstrike. NO age limits at all. Happy now ?
Seeing them in a bed knowing what they wil go do is diffrent then seeing em do it.
Your arguments arent even well chosen.
And no i said a game like FF should be all ages as it doesnt have real violence in it.
You gonna see a kid pull off magic spells ? LOL
Not a kneejerk about anything.
If you turn on the tv you already see enough reallity with all the sickness in it.
Keep a game that is about fantasy and paradise like Final Fantasy the way it has been since 1987.
Why after 24 years go make a game slutty looking?
there are enough vulgair looking MMO's out there.
And you kind of nag..
If a guy puts in his opinion on how he wants the game then i am free to give my opinion on not to change.
Your free to give your opinion but, no where in my original post did I suggest anything about " nudity " " hentai" or anything like that. Ever heard anyone say "sexier with clothes on"? We are talking about fashion here, not about some deluded fantasy is sex.
Ex: I said ff11 had a good balance. But at no point in my seven years of playing ff11 did I ever come across any such thought that seem to be crossing your mind.
No problem with ppl stating their opinions.
I'm surprised nobody by now has mentioned the recurring GLD leve "Pleasure and Pain" where all the whores in Ul'dah thought it would be just OSSUM to pierce "sensitive places" so now you have to restock the guild's supply of earrings...
GLD is not GLA! But apparently, it IS GSM!
I'm playing to play final fantasy, not to get an erection. Plus this game is rated "T".

Games like FF aren't supposed to be based on sexual appearance. What made Tifa popular? Her polygon layout (her chest was a very simple design, two reshaped cubes, with the front one having one of its edges removed to give it the triangle effect). The graphics were crude at best by today's standards, but amazing for 1997 with everything being done with 3D graphics in such a large world.
Final Fantasy has always been based on the story. Character design has merely been something to make them look cool. What this game REALLY needs is to finish the damned story, and then work on expansions. There needs to be something to actually DO in this game. I've been following FF since the beginning, and I've never run into something like this before.
I'm not sure about 'sex appeal' but I think more attractive gear would be wonderful. Currently, gear seems a bit bland to me in game, but I'm not looking for outrageous, overthetop, lightsaber, gear either, lol. Simple, but fashionable? I wouldn't look for sex appeal past a coatee for example, that's starting to head too far into it I think. It would be nice if new sets weren't just old sets with added pieces, but something more original and with a bit of flare.
Characters in past final fantasies have some very interesting gear that I don't think is too extravagant, but definitely has a striking look. A few I think of are Ramza, Delita, Zidane, Auron, Blathier, Fran, Fang, and Vanille as a few examples. Most characters from final fantasies (the more detailed ones anyway) are quickly and easily recognizable and partially so because of their detailed gear.
Pretty much all gear from tactics (style wise) I could see fitting into ffxiv and more of an Ishgardian flare. Then when I think of Auron, his outfit reminds me of gear that would be more familiar to Thanalan territory alongside Fang's. Balthier and Zidane with the slight steampunk style would be more common to La Noscean territory, then more savage/wild gear like Vanille or Kimahri smiliar to Black Shroud style. When I mention Fran, that is sex appeal there, but it's also creative and possibly could fit in a gear role for another sort of city. (I think Garlean and dark knight sort of things, for starters.)
I think more over, character customization and allowing you to make your character shine visually will overall interest people to continue developing that character or working towards a new piece, etc. I would even go so far as to say they should allow crafting to make a piece of gear look like one, but have the stats of another, with reasonable consequence. Then people lose that argument of choosing to pick something that looks fashionable over having something that has the stats they want. (Example: The look of a cotton robe with the stats of a vintage, but by crafting it that way you lose both items to make the new one, and then it has a trade count? Like it can only be traded 3 times before it becomes untradeable.)
Anyway, previous Final Fantasies have had serious style/fashion with individual characters and I think they should bring more of that feel into this game alongside more colors, styles, and ways to make your character unique.
Well, FFXI didn't have any.. of that.. I mean, look at the mithras. They were SO ugly, and it was still pretty successful. That being said, I did feel pretty.. s*** in the swim suit or the wedding dress as a brd.
