Lol havent seen any of it but ok :P its a Age 12 game :-)
So sex apeal should not be in it.
they do need some more appealing gears, but then again they really need more gear variation, there is a couple non potato sack outfits, but there isnt that many outfits at all, i mean pug can wear tights, shorts with long argyle socks or chaps. there isnt a lot of different basic sets, they could up that greatly, then some of them might be more sexy, some not, and people would have options.

Still not seeing where "all ages" and "no sex appeal" is coming from.Moderate language is allowed. The use of strong language (for example, ‘fuck’) must be infrequent.
Nudity is allowed, but in a sexual context must be brief and discreet.
Sexual activity may be briefly and discreetly portrayed. Sex references should not go beyond what is suitable for young teenagers. Frequent crude references are unlikely to be acceptable.
Mature themes are acceptable, but their treatment must be suitable for young teenagers.
(And how is a game where you're encouraged and expected to run around stabbing small, woodland creatures "all ages?")
I'm not saying that we need an extreme, out of proportion, sex slave type antics being incorporated into ff14. But some something that has flavor. example, ff7 characters. Aerith, tiffa, yuffi. they are not nude, nor like some type of porno. but they definitely have an air of appeal to them. I find 14 to be very satisfying. I was simply stating from business psychology, what will help sell ff14.
I have complete confidence in Square enix to pull of sexy and cute appeal without throwing their credibility out the door. There's more to creating appeal in characters than just taking their clothes off. The people who said, thats what i said, are simply blowing my words out of proportion. (Also someone above said something about 12 year olds? anyone 12 years old should not be playing 14. T means "teens". not 12teen)
Oh come on slaying made up creatures...It should be 8 and above not even 12.http://www.bbfc.co.uk/classification/guidelines/12a12/

There are shooters that can be played from the age of 10.. Those have real violence.
If you see this game as violence... Then you need to open your eyes and see the world.
There issnt even blood lol.
I mean seriously.
I'm a female, and I play a mage, well I don't want to 'exude sex' I would like to have some girly gear, not cutesy but feminine. Just saying. Maybe they could think changing out certain gear looks from women to men, like they did with the coatee. This may of been a troll thread, but my opinion on this is legitimate.
They surely will in the future have gear that looks different on girls (I'm thinking FFXI NIN AF legs). For now though the gear is purposely underwhelming so that when SE bring out new content it will look awesome. perfect selling point.
I'm glad to see some good constructive opinions floating around.
Just as ever dissapointded with those who feel the need to try and convince the Internet world of their own personal views.
Let's try to keep a level head and get some good ideas flowing and constructive advice sqenix can use to better the game.
I'll say it one more time. Big fan of ff and posted this thread for the betterment of ff14.
My thought was ff11 had a perfect balance of style, cute, sex appeal. They really did a good job. As to be expected of the man who did concept art for ff4 monsters, ff 7,8,9,10,10-2,11,13.
They changed artists for 12 and 14. While he is a brilliant architect and environmental painter, I think it would benefit the game if they pushed a little bit towards ff11.
Ff11 had a great feel to it. Nice balance of reality and fiction. This time around feels a little lacking un variety.
Other people's thoughts?( constructive please )
Xiv is chocked full of eye candy for the guys and the gals. Not to mention some of the npc dialogue which can range from racy to out right raunchy.
