    Yeah the FATE idea was silly of square enix, they could make a better grind system.

    The lockouts is a perfect way for keep the players passive. Is better you keep your playerbase playing the dam game than keep they in the town counting the brickwork by limsa lominsa.

    Let's take off the mask.

    Most of us have gaming sessions of 3 - 4 hours per day the weekend we play even more.... Most of us have exp in other MMRPGS, FFXI/WOW/TERA etc. We have experiencie with the "GRINDS".

    If we have to lose a % of our playerbase for have horizontal progression, long term goals and grinds like a REAL MMRPG, is worth sacrifice those casuals for the good of our community.

    It seems you know the forum ZAM, that mean you probably played FFXI/Wow Etc. Accomplish things in FFXI was x100 times more satisfactory than ARR... So man let square enix put us to grind a little, it will not kill anyone.

    Wait. So losing the interest of people for the sake of grinding seems reasonable to you? So if Square keeps up the random drops and loses a chunk of their player base because of it and have to go free to play, you'd be okay with that? Long term goals are fine and all but you can have a long term goal without random rewards for doing the same thing over and over again on a percentage drop. Such as give atma to players by base of an unlocked achievement in game. Nothing so insane as having to level 50 all jobs, but something to the effect of having killed a certain number of monsters, obtained an amount of gil or spirit bonded a number of materia.

    today i got 7 atma while you guys whining although yesterday and day before i got 0 atma from 12hours non stop grind
    i choose to do zodiark weapon bec new coil seem hard even t1 i never go yet

    today is a good day
    hi5 to those do fate with patient and gratz to already got weapon

    15 hours so far and not a single drop, yeah that's good and fair design right there. This system is crap, completely the dumbest thing I have ever seen in a game. 15 hours and not a single step of progress for all that time investment.

    I don't agree that there is a set definition any 'real' mmo rpg must adhere to. Each game on an individual basis will find it's particular design choice and niche of players to adhere to.

    You profess that you are willing to sacrifice other players for the the game to appeal to your sensibilities of the game. I am sure many agree your sentiment. However I do not feel this falls in line with SE's prospects for the game, and that in taking this course of action, they may have been slightly counterproductive in their intended aims. That said I am flexiable and willing to work with more long term circumstances, as I am equally willing to provide feedback on future adjustments that may be healthier with the game.

    I was an avid, long-term FFXI player. However I do not believe its sensibilities were correct on many levels and caution against overvaluing its standards or mechanics in today's gaming world.

    been grinding for 30+ hours now and Im only 10/12 ... I have a friend in my FC that "grinded" for 4 hours and is 10/12


    needless to say I'm pretty unimpressed

    That is the nature of RNG. However it may also be the nature of simply not knowing exactly what circumstances causes the items to drop. It is believed to be completely random, but this may not be the case. Perhaps you and your friends should share your experiences and see if you can come up with any findings.

    from my experience, party will increase drop chance
    6 from 7 atma i got is from party with less than half hour ~ 1 hour each

    Boo-hoo ATMAS wasted my time!!! Get over yourselves is not playing a game in general wasting time? It is not doing anything productive for you in RL. People want everything now now now and then they will complain that they have nothing to do in the game.
