Well my retainer finally joined the Elite House Thief retainers, the little lalafel brought me a roof from her quick ventures.

A lot of fish, allagan pieces, some materia and oddly enough they have started bringing me back tank gear(hq crafted stuff), got a goldsmiths lvl 38 tool... wonder what I'll get today...

Wish I could figure out what I'm doing wrong on my retainer for the field exploration 13s. Item level 70, check. As far as I know, that's all you need, mine's an Arcanist as well.

Field Explore she brings me a handful of silver pieces and courel meat HQ....thats it, nothing else, same thing 5 times in a row.

Do a quick venture, occasionally she brings me something neat, mostly food, fish, the occasional housing item.

My other retainer, which I've only done quicks on since reaching level 10, with basically no gear on aside from the level 1 weapon she is equipped with, brings me tier 4 materia, mog weapons, pvp gear and even got one of the new body pieces from the new 3 dungeons that came with 2.2 .. bah.

Random system is extremely random.

better ilvl your retainer is the worse the stuff they bring back will be lol

I'm actually really curious what the rank 12 Field Exploration (DoW/DoM) have. I know 13 have the Light Steel Plate, Tafetta Cloth, Minute Mindflayer, Couerl Meat and Hippogryph Skin. (so far, I've gotten 2 Cloth, 2 Meat, and 1 Skin; maybe today I'll get the minion...or more worthless mats)

It is the mossy items to make giantsgall , ive got spear claws sword and staff so far.

my rank 12 miner has been bringing back hq gold dust, hq darksteel ores, hq astral rocks. Basically all the original unspoiled node items in hq, usually 3 at a time with some silver pieces with it. Shes now deligated to quick ventures til i get her her own pick and hat >.>
