Well that's good to hear about the PS4. I turned my PS3 on (which is only 9 months old) checked my retainers and got some stupid PS3 is hot error and it turned off, Turned it back on and it sounded like a blow dryer on high. Lets just say its a good excuse to upgrade to PS4 sooner. I'm thinking of getting a PS Vita to go with it.

I was always super scared that mine would die on me while playing! XD but now I have no worries at all with playing it on my PS4. I had a PS Vita when it first came out but I got the 3G version and I really didn't like it so I sold it. But now, I kind of wish I had one again. but I'd never be able to play it because I'm the one always driving on trips and I work all the time. XD

2. Am I reading correctly that you get better stuff from the 18 hour exploration?

Or is the 1 hour quick better?

The best way is from the Grand Company 5 Ventures for 1000 Seals.

The Field Exploration last tier (forgot what the number is) the one you need ilvl70 to do is suppose to bring back good stuff. I've had some pretty amazing stuff from Quick Ventures, There isn't enough data from the 2 people that posted what they got to know what we can get from it.

Until we know what is the best things from that last tier then Quick Ventures would be the way to go.... Unless you can play for more than a few hours a day.
I'm really curious as to what can be obtained from that last tier. Coils Gear, Upgrade items, or just really good Furnishings? Also wonder if they are going to add Sphere Scrolls to Ventures.

rank 13 18 hour explorations can bring you (crap) or the mindflayer minion (i got that!) taffeta cloth, lightsteel, and the other rare material.

idk if there is anything else that's rare like those but those i know drops, got a taffeta cloth myself too sold for 500k.

o.0 didn't know that stuff dropped from there maybe it is worth doing them.

If you don't mind me asking, what gear (+melds) did you equip to your retainer so they could meet the gathering requirement for r13 ventures?

i have 1 miner and 1 gld retainer, my miner only has 323 gathering i haven't melded anything so she can't actually do rank 13 explorations she only does rank 11 or 12 for me kinda wish i made her a battle class to get your retainer to the the amount of gathering you have to put tons of gathering up melds on every piece you can and you have to get the pick/ax that requires 60 hq of the untradable item. (its a real pain)

battle class you just put anything i70 plus on them and once they hit i70 they can do the rank 13 explorations and you go on with your day.

My retainer stole a person's walls to their mansion so apologies for that and he also bought me my Mog Book for SCH and he's only Level 11.
