I think you could have easily sold it for far more considering you need a 500 myth item to make it, as well as the Gazelnut which has yet to be grown anywhere akaik, in addition to some of the new ultra-high DoL items. Whoever bought it got a huge bargain =)

I just realized that after browsing the market board. I asked around and most just pretty much dismissed it as being useless, as did I. Little did I realize that it was as server first. Looks like I could have sold it for 3-5 mil /shrug I am already nearing 2 mil gil and have little use for gil now anyway so while it stings it isnt too bad.

Exact opposite actually - there are items obtainable only by Quick Exploration according the the patch notes.

From the notes:

"Quick Exploration
Upon reaching level 10, retainers can undertake quick exploration ventures. Retainers assigned to quick exploration will always come back with a single item, which will remain unknown until the venture is completed. The amount of experience earned will vary depending on the item found.
* There are no items unique to quick exploration ventures."

It's the Exploration (18 hour) Ventures that the notes say may bring back unique items:

"* Although retainers will procure items randomly, higher-level retainers may procure items, minions, and crafting materials unique to exploration ventures."

I've got a few 2star gear and got werewolf earrings of casting, I main pld/war and doing a bard, plus never done pvp... I have no use for them -_- lol

Not sure if they apply but you can try trading them in for seals at your GC

My retainers love bringing me ahriman related housing items back to back... I have a desk, tears (which I made into the plushie), vase, flower pot, clock and the screen.
