My retainer sensed my need for Gil and brought back some azeyma rose seeds. I didn't see any history or listings on the market board so I put it up for 200k and sold it within 4 hours. Now she only brings me fish. :/

So I kinda answered my own question the other day with this, but what are the limits on what can be brought back by them? Which game areas like Coil and such are off-limits and what is free-game?
Two best things I've gotten so far equipment-wise was a War Sash for MNK and a Strategos Bliaud, so Unique and/or Untradable equipment is certainly possible, but could they bring back mounts from the Extreme Primal fights as well as Allagan gear or no? I'd like to find some limits for this just to know what I might be able to expect in the massive RNG lottery roll.

Nobody has figured out a limit. Coil 6-9 drops have been brought back.

Personally I think there must be some limits or at the very least tiers of items instead of complete randomness, because if it picks any item from the library I've gotten Grilled Trout an awful lot of times... like winning the reverse lottery.

Already been disputed. We previously thought they could only bring items that arent Blue rarity, but with primal weapons dropping out the wazoo, its only a matter of time someone gets a High Allagan chest and everyone will bash that person for having the wtfiest luck on the game.

Um, that's kinda what I said. That there is no known limit. It however doesn't dispute the fact that there MIGHT be a limit, or that there could be tiers or rarity as I suggested, which in the less rare items are simply given a lower chance for you to get.

Still though... That High Allagan chest... maybe someone from SE could fulfill this lalatanks wish? :P

My FC had a close call with someone's retainer, but luckily one of our members was online and in the house at the time of the break-in. The retainer didn't get anything and no one was hurt, but since then we have put bars on our windows.

It really is a shame retainers force us to live this way
