New Tank Achievements

Is it just me who find the requirements for the said achievement completely illogical?

I mean, the requirement requires you to be in a FULL PARTY, but which dungeon exactly has a requirement of full party?

- Main Scenario
- Raids
- Trials

Seriously? Those dungeons that requires a full party wasn't even the reason why we need this kind of achievements.

4 man dungeons are the one who's lacking tank class, not the 8 man which you can actually just pre-made.

I can see why they made it 8 man (to prevent abuse) but it's just not logical to ignore the 4 man contents where there are tanks shortage the most.

Main Scenario doesn't even count. So what's left? Raids / Trials? Which is better off being pre-made rather than DF. Who's the genius who made this achievement requirements anyway?

Crystal Tower doesn't count as well. *Claps*

How do these DEVS think that someone would run X Primals / X turn of coils 200 times just to get a mount?

Honestly they could've just made it /any/ dungeon and it'd help out with the tank thing a bit even if it was a bit easy to get the mount, but now? It doesn't work on any full party, it only works on Extremes and some parts of Coil. Are they really aching for tanks up at that level and nowhere else?

As of patch 2.2, the following trials and raids will count toward achievements requiring the completion of high-level duties with a full party:

The Howling Eye (Extreme) / The Navel (Extreme) / The Bowl of Embers (Extreme) / The Whorl Eater (Extreme) / Thornmarch (Extreme) / The Binding Coil of Bahamut (excluding Turn 3) / The Second Coil of Bahamut

Soooo you gotta run those 200 times to get the mount.

They can just exclude Guildhest since that's the easiest way to abuse a 4 man "complete X runs achievement" anyway. *cough* Gold Magitek Mount *cough*

Really hope this isn't correct. Its not much of an incentive to keep tanking on either class if it has to be in 8man raids where the ones that actually run things this much are already in set static groups anyways. Waste of ****ing effort to try and do this at all, i've no static to make this not a waste of time and effort...

for me i wanna feel unique

not everyone have my mount

plus ppl can easily lv50 tank & get mount then ignore it

but they made it like that so they want them to be obsessed to tanking

i find it cool

also btw coil is not hard anymore tho

and u can clear it fast

no need to run extremes

That's not the point, it's not about the rarity perse, and no one said that running coil is hard.

Point is, they made this kind of achievement to compensate the tank shortage ingame. It just feels so contradicting when they made this a full party achievement instead of just a light party.

PS:
Who said that getting the mount is as easy as levelling a tank class to 50? Heck this thread wasn't even about levelling a tank class. Where did you get that?

No, the roulette bonus increase is for that. They said they wanted to reward long time tanks with these mounts but then it's not retroactive, which is another issue.

How would you expect to increase the number of tanks with just a roulette bonus? LOL!
