For the book portion, do we have to be on the job with the Atma weapon for all portions? For example, if I'm working on a book for the white mage Atma waepon, can I queue for the Stone Vigil duty portion as a black mage and have that count?

Side (and helpful!) note:
For those of you who are like me and like to continuously check the book menu to see where you are (and find it incredibly annoying to go into the Key Items menu each time to look at where to go next), you can move the book onto your hotkey list and access it much faster that way. I tried that last night and it made it much easier. I hope that helps!

I'll have to add this to the questions, seems to be common.

So to answer your question, YES, you must have your Atma weapon equipped in order to complete the book entries. The lady who gives the books originally says you must have your Atma relic weapon equipped during these "Trials". Also, you can test this. Go to an area where you have to kill specific enemies for your book. Equip your Atma Weapon, and look above the enemies head, you should see a Dot with a spiked circle around it. Now take off your weapon, or switch jobs, the symbol will disappear, meaning you won't get credit if you kill it. Same can be said for the dungeons, leves, and fates.

yes you can only start Zodiac if you have a Zenith weapon equipped (upgraded relic)
