Awesome faq. No wonder why nothing drop been swinging my allagan scepter to much.

Lots of people are doing this and then bustin SE's balls because nothing drops. SE needs to fix the tracking, and zone locations though ASAP.

So I have gotten the atma weapon and finish one of the books and got Int+2. The book is still in my key inventory even when finished, is it safe to discard it now?

Q: Being a Paladin, do I need to equip both the Zenith Sword and Shield to obtain Atma?

A: No, you only need the Zenith Sword to be equipped in order for Atma to drop. However it should be noted that you will not be able to fully complete the quest unless you also have your Zenith Shield. So if you skipped out on upgrading the Shield earlier due to a better upgrade, now would be the time to upgrade it.

Has this actually been confirmed? Would like to know since I do have a zenith sword but not a zenith shield.

From what I saw in someones screenshot of the window, you get 9 -specific- books for each weapon (some are multiples, dunno if contents are repeated).

Yes, was mentioned on Reddit of a guy complaining that he had never upgraded his Relic Shield because he had a Primal Shield instead, and couldn't complete the quest, even though he had all the Atma required.

Yeah, you get to choose what upgrade you want at a time. The book I choice is call skyfire or was it skyfall, not log on so can't check it. But they give you a list of upgrades for BLM it was int,vit and det.
