Thanks for the info! I have only gotten 3 so far. The 4th is being a pain.

Image (from Veil of Wiyu Atma thread), showing that stats are -not- customizable (all finished weapons will currently be the same, as each book gives specific stats to the weapon; note the 9 total obtainable books, rather than a "pick 9 books"). Only part that is currently 'customizable' is what the stats will be until you get the end weapon.

Not yet anyway, they did say they would be customizable in a later patch.

Received atma from outer la noscea fate with silver rating. Not sure if the chance is greater with gold or not. Would recommend joining a party anyways though.

i have my atma and completed first book, do i talk to someone npc or just save up 1500 myth and do next one?

Save up another 1500 and get another book. Must complete all 9 to finish upgrading your weapon (at least for now, more updates/quests will come at a later date/patch).

Just a note for those that are doing the book phase, make sure your net is stable otherwise you might waste 40 minutes in a DF (personal experienced at last boss @ 15% DC >.< )
