I have a question: has anyone else tried successfully getting these atma in a sequence?

Oh, one thing I remembered my FC leader asking me a bit ago.

Apparently Atma weapons are handled by the server the same way as Aetherial items.

If you have a Gearset with an Atma weapon on it that has been modified (any books completed), and then do another book, when you try to change to the old Gearset it will popup a message about not being able to put back on the same Aetherial item (Such as a Thyrus Atma with.... +2 mnd, then doing a book so your current one now has +4 mnd)

or do you need finish book before to get more atmas from fate?

All you need to get atma is to wear a zenith...

I've heard of some odd technique where an Atma's drop rate will increase during a certain hour of the day: does anyone have more info on this? I normally don't believe this sort of stuff (and to be frank, I don't believe this at all), but given that I've been in the East Shroud for two weeks with no luck, I'm a bit desperate, haha. Plus, it reminds me of the good ol' days of ridiculous RPG-stories that you'd chase down *coughwheatswordcough*.

This is actually just a myth as myself and others have tried it and does not work.
Some sites posted that certain drops in certain areas would happen @ a certain given time. Atma is absolutely complete rng.

Yoshi already answered this during latest event, translated via Reinhart, that it is pure random. So... no valid theories.

In NicoNico interview Yoshi has also stated that it's all RNG

Thanks for the responses. It's pretty hard to be disappointed about something you doubted to begin with, but it would've been nice if there was some trick to boosting the drop rate. Ah well, hopefully the East Shroud will be kind this week. I already disliked the zone enough as is, and being in there for over 15 hours (although it's probably been longer) so far hasn't helped.

Well... I can add my own small theories if you still curious to try:

Majority of atma I farmed are gotten from lowest level of FATEs. Seriously. XD

But again, remember that it is still RNG. lol
