7 hours wasted in eastern shroud for 0 drops I now refuse to do this anymore. worst idea ever put into a game.

lol......Its been 3 days....

I don't think he would care, considering he actually has his.
It's not surprising that someone who was lucky enough to get his early wouldn't understand the sheer nonsense we're dealing with.
The fact that this guy, and many others have it, proves that this RNG nonsense isn't the way to extend the amount of time it takes to accomplish these type of progression quests.
The only thing atma has accomplished is breathing new life in one of the more boring mechanics of the game, and upsetting a lot of people.

The entitled generation hard at work complaining about having to work hard. Quite the hamster wheel you've got there....
I totally understand what you're saying, I gritted my teeth and fate grinded. I even spent two hours in the wrong zone because I miss-read which zone to go to. I finished tonight, and now i'm dungeon grinding for tomes. Yeah, you may call me lucky, but I ran into a lot of people with way more atma than me when I started. Stick it out and it will feel that much better when you complete it. This coming from a PLD, not a BRD.

That feeling is NOT accomplishment, it is relief. Accomplishment comes from overcoming difficult obstacles, which this quest is definitely not.
Plus: as a PLD, to get gold in any FATE, all you need to do is run in, hit Flash a couple times (which, as a lv8 skill, you will never be synced so low as to be without it), and leave. Try doing lv5 FATEs that are being zerged by ~40 players on WHM or SCH (or even SMN or BLM) and get back to me please. I've been at this for 3 days now without getting a single drop, and I get gold on about 90% of the FATEs I manage to get to before they're over, at non-peak times. At peak times you can almost forget getting gold on SCH on boss FATEs at all, unless you're one of the first to arrive.
At what point did I call it an accomplishment? I'm guessing you spent 3 days with hooked on phonics and got pissed at that as well. Getting all the atma just nets you a new weapon/shield skin. you need the Myth to actually upgrade the stats. There are plenty of other(better) weapon options out there so sack up and go after one of them, and feel "accomplished".

Grinding myth is something I have no problem with. What I have a problem with is something that is entirely based on luck and has no way for to be assured of progress or work toward the goal other than mindlessly grind and hope. I've done about 20 hours of FATE grinding now with absolutely nothing to show for it. Wait, that's not true. I'm a lot closer to that 3,000 FATEs achievement. Anyway, I'm not asking for it to be handed to me, I'm asking for the effort I've put in to be rewarded, and that's not happening. At what point did I call it an accomplishment? So there is this ...
