I could use some advice.

So, I decided to take a break a while ago. I'm usually much slower to gear up than most players, so I was working on, but hadn't finished a set of Darklight for my main.

I re-subbed when 2.2 was released and now Darklight is no longer available to buy and philosophy tombs have been phased out.

So right now I'm stuck with half DL and a total iLevel of 55. I hear the new dungeon drops DL gear, but I'm not able to see if that's doable due to the lag issue.

Would running the new dungeon be my best bet? Or possibly CT or just grind for Mythology tombs?

I'm in a similar situation just having started gearing up with the patch. I asked around the forums and so far I've been told to do pretty much exactly what you guessed. CT or dungeon spam. Brayflox HM is pretty fast and CT is supposed to have a good bang for your buck if you have any kind of luck with drops.

People don't seem very patient in the dungeon route from my recent experience so I may have to hide in CT for awhile but, as a healer it might not go that way for you.

Whats your DL currently? If accessories they should be really useful at this point. WP should be fairly easy for your ilevel, and CT should be easy to handles as well. Brayflox HM didn't require much healing in my experience (about from the final boss), and was pretty straightforward too. Those would drop you more DL pieces while giving you sufficient amounts of myth which would help you gear up further with AF+1. Good luck!

And you can buy crafted accessories and weapons. Weapons are a bit more expensive but accessories should be accessible and helpful.

I heard DL gear is now a drop in level 50 dungeons, no?

I know that a lot of it does drop in the new 2.2 dungeon. I'm not sure about others though.

I have a HQ Alkalurops and I've bought most of the accessories I could afford (mainly the top tier accessories are too much for me right now). I think I will probably do WP runs for now, and possibly try out CT after going over some guides and once the lag issues are fixed. Thanks, I appreciate it.

It has a good breakdown of all the comparable gear you can get for end-game, click on the tabs you wish to compare such as mythology gear, primals etc and it will show you where they can be obtained from.

Then take a look at this website: http://www.ffxivinfo.com/items/head-41-50.php

If you click on the dungeon menu at the top of the website it will not only give you good info about the dungeons but should list most of the item drops from there as well.

Then there is also: http://xivdb.com/

But the other's suggestions are great, do some CT where the difference in equipment won't matter since there will be much more geared people then you in there. Keep running some of the easier dungeons to build up myths, which, seeing as you only have 1 job to gear up so far it won't take long to have an i90 WHM and a bunch of tomes for soldiery gear as well.
