instead of a perm-ban (instant death), moving them all to the same server... that sounds like sending them to living Hell lolRecently I read that Titanfall doesn't ban cheaters, but move them all in the same server, which is indeed an interesting idea.
Now in FFXIV, SE has only been banning hacking bots and ad spammers. They have not focused on banning gilbuyers or normal players with farming scripts. As SE has no problem identifying RMT bots, then tracing those bots' gil movements to identify gilbuyers should be a piece of cake. However, they have not done so, probably because they need the subscription fees.
That's where an RMT server comes in! Forcibly move all gilbuyers and script farmers to the same server, where they can buy gil to their heart's content and continue playing the full game. It's a win-win situation for them, honest players, and SE's wallet!
Be kinda funny, they're receiving tells from each other and eventually blacklist each other.
RMT 1: Buy my gil!
RMT 2: No! You buy my gil!
RMT 1: NO! YOU BUY MY GIL NOW! OK?!
RMT 2: Méiyǒu! Nǐ mǎi wǒ de qián xiànzài!
And etc.
PS If the Chinese was wrong blame Google Translate and not me.
This makes zero sense, why would you devote resources to what is basically a giant world sized jail.
SE keeps the subscriptions, but removes the glitchers from the rest of the populace. Throw in the RMTers & let them send all the tells to each other that they want. Do not allow anyone to world transfer out.
Yup, gotta go after the gil buyers if we want to see the situation improve. Going after gil sellers is lose- lose. Gil buyers are like addicts, once they start, they can't stop.
So if we go there, they won't? *Le gasp*Because no gil buying player would play on that server. People buy gil to have an advantage over others that don't, if everyone is buying gil, then it would become a matter of whose pockets are deeper and eventually even the most hardcore gil buyers will also leave the server.
