Thanks for the positive thread Dyne. The game has come a long way from its beginning, and its only going to get better. We just have to be patient for a bit longer.

it is an OK game now...just ok.

improvements are indeed coming and i am grateful for those but very very mind numbingly slow.
i played ff11 for many years and loved it, i am a loyal customer if the product is worthy. im sure ff14 will be, just sadly not for a very very long time at this rate.

i think the game will blossom in at least a years time (if not more). for now i pass some spare time in it, but certainly isnt a lure to do.
for now , wow + rift daily and ff14 every couple weeks for an hour or so is good enough. i dont expect fast changes as they proven they cant do that. but i do expect over the top changes in the future or it will not be worth paying for eventually. and i do mean over the top!

No recent info on it but if they do Everquest Next like they say they are going to (parallel universe to the original. original classes, mechanics in a modern day MMO) I'll be all about that!

Everquest was my first love, Everquest 2 my first major discappointment, and XI will always be the 'good 'ole days'! XI was/is the last hardcore MMO we had left to play. I really hope that they can bring back the magic to XIV... it was the only game that ever pulled me away from EQ.

(Perhaps I'll run into Yoshi P in Everquest Next when that comes out...he was a fan of the the original as well!

I'm excited about Everquest Next ^_^. I actually played EQ after I played EQ2. I was too late to that party xD. I really feel like I missed an epic game! But I was only 14 at the time. I figured most people probably would have hated me <_<.

Anyway, I agree, FFXI had magic to it. I felt so absorbed and I really connected with my character. I was looking forward to that same FF magic when FFXIV came out. I really hope it will get there. Though, it's probably not going to happen simply because I am playing it during it's unflattering stages ^^;. I think I'll forever be tainted.
