Now, that's just paranoid. Who ever said people want to make setup decisions exclusively based on iLv? Can you quote such a post?
Secondly, why add iLv requirement checkbox to Party Finder recruitment optios then? Yuo're being inconsistent. And paranoid.
Besides, as long as we can see other player's items, we can calculate their iLv easily, with or without a calculator.
Whatever you were afraid of by witholding this quality of life improvement, has already happened. Or not.

I would much rather if they added that when you get examined you receive a prompt and choose to let people examine you or not.

This seems like an arbitrary decision to me. Considering you can already set iLvl requirements for party finder groups, it seems really silly to stop people from being able to check others' iLvls at a glance.

Because Party Finder doesn't already do this, right?

Which happens already. PF's that allow arbitrary ilvl requirements, FC's that won't let someone in on Coil unless they meet certain requirements in excess of dungeon requirements. Even without a specific iLvl listed, even a quick examine can allow someone to gauge pecking order. Guess what happens when someone spots an i70 belt? Noob-boot! Go farm Myth.

Lets forget that there are actually iLvl requirements for going into a dungeon, but being held out of Turn 1 until you're 10 levels over the entry requirements is shifty no matter how you look at it. That is assuming, of course, that the 'team' didn't set the entry requirements to a threshold where a party of minimum iLvl can't complete the dungeon. Now that would be shifty.

Attitude is half the game. If you can't get over yourself, you're not at the top.

That is a smart decision from the team to avoid harassment of "real paranoid people" than go as far to calculate ilvls manually or immediately check the character profile at the loadstone to see if people are playing to their "standars", long story make short, see ilvl of other players is not needed and is not going to happen.

You can see already ridiculous PF requirements like ilvl90 for coil 1 to release more tools than foment toxic behavior.

Exactly how it should be done. Thank you.

In community rep world, ilvl requirements for dungeons and party finder doesn't exist apparently.

Also put down the torches people, adding ilvl to examine won't suddenly make people get discriminated against. It would be a great feature to have, and if you can't understand why then you're the type who won't get into groups based on gear regardless of if people can see your ilvl or not.

It's not a great feature and I'm glad the developers realized this when they added iLevels. Yes, some people won't use it for discrimination but there are alot who would. Take my bard, finally hit iLevel 81. Will I be going higher? Probably not. Why? Because there's not much better than what I've already got on, that's why. If I tried, I'd lose in other stats that are a bit more important than iLevel, like accuracy. Can't hurt what I can't hit. Too many people treat iLevel like it's the only stat to worry about when it's not. It's just a representation of the average level of your gear, not the level of the stats on that gear. Maybe if people could see past all that we'd have iLevel in the examine window.

That's like saying if someone looks in your direction, they see empty space unless you allow them to see you.
