I think the entire situation of desperately has been taken out of proportion. I never intended it to actually be "IMMEDIATE" as most of you seem to be interpreting; which is quite honestly my fault.

The buyback feature is a necessary feature of any MMO because sometimes the unfortunate happens.

However for all the mass of doom and gloom in this thread about prioritizing things... you don't make that decision, Square Enix does. If you would have read Bay's response, the buyback feature was already brought up prior to this threads creation. I could go on about how you didn't read close enough to that post because you were all worried about the word "desperately" implying an immediate fix, but I frankly don't care because it isn't productive.

I'd also like to point out, that simple features like this really do culminate into a larger picture. So each feature that we have, is like moving towards a better game. Yes its not something that should be put on 100% priority, but it should definitely be put on a list of fixes before the end of the year.

Furthermore, the popular opinion is that FFXIV has 100+ developers/artists/producers/etc all working toward the betterment of the game. Not all of these individuals will be working on the same project. Some will most likely be working only on UI fixes and developments, and nothing to do with battle reform other than the UI mechanics of the battle reform.

Overreaction on desperately? Probably on both sides of this discussion.

But the people who think adding a buyback feature is going in the wrong direction of the game, are incredibly mistaken.
