The Dragon Quest and FFXI events though were held for other reasons - they were crossover events to celebrate the eleventh anniversary of FFXI's start of service, and the first anniversary of DQX's start of service

But anniversaries come around each year, and this shows they consider anniversaries worth putting in events for. They could recycle the release event for FFXIII:LR into an anniversary event. Next November/December would be the first anniversary of FFXIII:LR and the fifth anniversary of the original FFXIII. That could provide enough of an excuse if they want to put it back in. So it sort of comes down to is it popular enough that they'll want to bring it back.

They're testing the waters of a cash shop with Phantasia and extra retainers, who knows, maybe they'll sell the hairstyle later.

I certainly hope so, what with the steam and PS4 releases, a lot of new players are kicking about who'd love to have it, hell I'd pay for it

That's really sad for you mate as obviously the lightning gear and weapons were created with the vanity prism system in mind.
