    I have all crafts at 50 but the turn ins are once a day. So you do your turn ins for all crafters and get 8k which gets you 3 out of the 9 items you need to make it. Let's not forget about farming all the mats and then crafting your turn in items. That would take just as long as doing the fates. And dont forget you only get 3 of the 9 so you have to fate grind for the other 6. I'm not looking for handouts all I want is to be able to trade in myth for crafting mats like in 2.1 where we could trade in Philo for it. If they want us to use seals as currency then they should at least triple the number of seals you get from a fate. I shouldn't have to farm all day just to make one old 1 star item. I'm sorry but that is just inane.

    787,500 seals to get 7 level 50 crafters the Master books...I don't mind work, but that's just completely insane.

    people complained that there is nothing worth they can spend their seals for once they are lv50. SE heard to the feedback.

    Very true, but you need 112,500 seals for EACH of your crafters (assuming you can 100% HQ your durability 40 2 star items). You can reduce that a bit if you're lucky with dungeon drops I guess.

    112.500 seals = ~24 hours of upper la noscea fate farming, probably a lot less in cohertas. Yes, you ll farm seals and stuff as a guild too now

    Other than that well, I don't think that time sink = meaningfull challenge.

    At least new turns in Coils are here to fill that part, but for the rest, rofl.

    I think the point is to force specialization onto crafters, and that it isn't feasible to be able to make every item for every craft like it was before this patch. That's why the costs are so incredibly high just for one Master book. It was a way to try and revive the Market Board and make the system closer to XI's crafting, without having to also put a firm barrier in your path similar to XI.

    Well, I hope that their intention isn't to force crafting specializations, because being capable of leveling all crafts and crafting all items on a single character is one of the best things in FFXIV.

    And you can still do that. It just takes time and dedication to each one individually to max out its crafting capacity.
    Just like it takes a good chunk of time and dedication to a single Job to max out its combat potential. (Rotations , Gear, learning fights etc)

    Getting all crafts at max level shouldn't be cheap, or easy.
