    Anytime when the way to progress in a patch, with supposedly new content, is by doing old content ad nauseam it shows a lack of imagination on the people putting out the content.
    The options are: Upgrade your relic to from ilvl90 to ilvl100 by grinding boring FATEs until your eyes fall out -OR- get any of the other new and vastly SUPERIOR weapons at lvl 100, 110, and 115 by doing real and serious endgame content. ** I can't believe this is even debatable.

    The zodiac path is just an alternate path for soloists and casual players who don't have the time to dedicate to an endgame linkshell and likely will never get into the latest coil parties... If you think it takes too long to get it, then the content wasn't designed for you. (That, or you should be out grinding fates instead of whining on the forums lol)


    Besides, as a FFXI veteran, I'm glad this game finally has serious barriers to gaining endgame items - even if they use FATE RNG to do it.
