    SE put a lot of time and hype into the FATE system and the community has said time and again "we don't like it"! We don't like when it's required for a quest or a daily or for RNG drops! We don't like your stupid FATEs because all they do is give good exp. if you had a better open world game this wouldn't be as big an issue but you don't. I got my 1st Atma off my 1st FATE then no drops for 4hrs...dumb

    Its almost like they were all in a big room giving out assignments for the patch...months ago...and divided the chores...1 group to Leviathan...1 group for main story, 1 group for each new dungeon 1 group for coil, groups for all the other s**t....and then 1 group for the new relics...and they just did f**king nothing the whole time...and then come patch day Devs are just like "we got f**ked, so f**k it, lets f**k the players...low level FATE grinding...make it happen, better than nothin"

    And its really not...I kinda wish they just scrapped the whole damn idea until they could come up with something entertaining...

    They are going to lose a lot of subscribers over this. And over purchasable retainer market advantages. And over the severe lag issues. And over the lack of difficulty in 4-mans. And eventually over how every fight is a simple "memorize the pattern" design.

    SE needs to revise fast.

    And if the fact that you absolutely have to do this to continue your relic upgrades isn't enough, it's completely taken over the PF.

    Nobody is doing duties anymore, it's all atmas all the time.
    It's taking an insane amount of time just filling up groups.

    This quest is impacting the game negatively, not only have people declared that they will leave over it, and I don't blame them, lack of high level duties may make other people leave.

    This has completely ruined the game for me. I wouldn't mind if the quest said do 500 fates in each zone but the mindless grinding of low lvl shit with no idea of progression is totally dull and boring.

    It really has turned this game into an early 00's grinder. What the hell are you thinking? Please either up the drop rates, or tie them to hard bosses like you did with Titan, Garuda and Ifrit. It's supposed to be a challenge based on skill, not a challenge of your patience because of luck!

    Honestly, I do not blame people for quitting over this. A lot of people in my FC are considering it and I am, also. This needs to be changed, Square.

    My Two Cents, Part 1

    My Two Cents:

    1. Let’s say I’m a player with 5hrs of game time every day (a fair amount!). During this time I have to decide to dungeon, craft or level up a class...or I can dedicate it entirely to grinding for ATMA. If I’m lucky, I’ll get one every 5hrs. That means it’s going to take me roughly two weeks to earn enough ATMA for my relic (assuming I decide to dedicate my entire game time to this). That doesn't sound too bad, considering that the previous relic took 900 myth or...roughly about two weeks (900/450 cap). There is however one major difference between these two approaches.
    a. Getting 900 myth involved doing one of 8 dungeons, CT, 6 different trial modes (EX/HM), Thorn or Coil. The variety kept it fresh, exciting and fun. Not to mention that there was pre-programmed downtime between each task (Queue Time) that you could use to craft, grab a soda or do some event quests. With FATE grinding, all you can do is FATE grind.

    b. Getting the first relic also took roughly two weeks because the Duty Finder gods aren’t always kind to those trying to do Titan HM. But it got your adrenaline pumping EVERY TIME you got within 15% of Titan’s death. Not to mention that once you defeat just ONE Hard Mode Primal you were instantly filled with a euphoria of awesomeness. Truly you have achieved greatness and nothing could beat you. With FATE grinding, you’ll be hard pressed to stay awake.

    2. I know it can be easy for SE to find this a hypocritical point of view. I mean, who HASN’T FATE grinded to get –insert nontank/healer class here- to 50. Right? I know I did. Here’s the difference though:
    a. FATE grinding to level up offered me a certain amount of progression with every monster I fell, with each FATE I completed. There was a definitive, mathematical end to it all. There was no randomness about when you were going to reach 50. It’s this measured amount of progression that kept me motivated. I saw the fruits of my labor with every passing minute. Hey! Just levled up! I got BANE NOW! Woo hooo!
