    So true. People beg at the developer's dinner table for scraps of content, get a few morsels and then call it crap. OR people beg for a reason to go out in to the developer-created world and then call foul when it's framed about the red-headed step child of FFXIV: Fates.

    Not to mention that this is an optional questline people will convince themselves that SE is forcing the grind on them as paying players..... man perception is king.

    That would have been great if there was some non-annoying way to implement it. The only downside to that is the dreadful strain it puts on forming parties. Perhaps make the majority of them 4-man battles and like the last 2 Full Party fights.


    The regular Relic quest was fun to me in the sense that it challenges you with actual content, 2 trail battles and 3 HM Primals. But thanks to the crying from the KMMO fans, we're stuck with the oldschool cheap method of just sinking 100~200 random hours into it.

    It wouldn't be the same as the item wouldn't be guaranteed. Besides that, how is spamming fates over and over again new? Most of us did that 10-50 on a lot of our characters pre 2.1.

    Also, if they wanted low level fates repopulated, they could have even made it to where the new "boss" fate wouldn't spawn until a set number of other fates in the area were completed. So, you'd have to fight through the others for a chance at downing the boss that drops the item.

    It would at least be nice if they changed the system so you aren't locked out of 90% of your skills when you get level adjusted. Low level GLA/PLD is piss boring to play, but it's considerably less dull once Spirits Within and Circle of Scorn come into play. Come to think of it, low level EVERYTHING is piss boring to play. Just forcibly nerf player stats to the ground and it'll be k.

    Honestly of everything I've experienced in Through the Maelstrom so far this is the only thing I've found remotely disappointing.
